Would you worship food? Sports maybe? Why would you want to put yourself under that god-like authority and why would you enjoy it?

I don't want Christian theology stating that if you created a religion than you would be God. I'm not an idiot and I know many theologies. I want a slightly more intellectual and creative response stating how you would want the world (if that was even a part of your religion) to be. Changed? Happy? Hell?

Get creative people. Is it really that difficult to think outside of the little Bible box?

My religion would be called "Parrotism" and there would be only one rule: "Do whatever you want and believe whatever you want to believe; just treat others like you would want to be treated."

Edit: Or two. :-P Actually, just take the "treat others like you would want to be treated" part, if you want. That'll make it one.

i guess you might say i have since i have my own beliefs and i don't belong to any religion. I worship only GOD and try my best to follow Christs teachings. i believe animals have a soul and a spirit the only thing is they are with out sin and will not be judged as we will be. i don't believe that we are all going to heaven or hell i believe only the elect will go to heaven and the rest of GODS people will have a new earth. i don't believe sinners will burn for ever GODS not that cruel but will be cast in to the fire to suffer a 2nd death. i don't believe any religion is any better then the other as a matter of fact there is something to be learned for them all and each should be respected I believe its only GODs place to judge some one. that every one on this earth is equal that no soul is any better then the other. every thing on this earth has to die sooner or later.

I think animism has been overlooked for several thousand years, and I'm not talking about Christianities definition, I'm talking about the real definition, in my own words:
All objects living, dead or inanimate have a separate spirit and add to the whole of the universe. The universe is the "god" and we are a piece of it, by living to higher values you improve the quality of the universe.

I made up a religion in high school called Sporkism. I had a whole philosophy behind it too, how the spork it neither spoon nor fork but both, just as man is neither god nor animal but both. I was the High Priestess of the Spork and was going to make a headdress out of sporks, but I could never find a place that sold them, and stealing them one by one from the school cafeteria was taking too long. *lol*

God of the jews, christians and muslims. But my beliefs should be the ones implemented on my very own book of my religion. I would also make this phrase a crime and punishable by death "I believe in God's Plan".

I'd create a race of gods who pose as people in need, in the flesh, who would reward those who helped them and cause unspeakable harm to those who didn't--if this religion caught on, it would truly end suffering in the world

Harry Potter ie Potteranity. Look at the similarities between the bible and the HP books. Magic, dragons, giants, talking snakes, a saviour, a devil...Much more exciting than the bible, and less intolerance, oppression, sex, and violence.

THE SUPREME ARCHITECT OF THE UNIVERSE. everyone has the free will to worship how they choose as long as they do not violate the free will and rights of others and no laws rules and mores of the society in which one resides are broken.
