I know it's true. It's one of the reasons heterosexuality is so popular, after all. And it is true that if you have the same sex, you normally want a complimentary, rather than a similar, person to yourself. To complete the set, as it were.
However, some beautiful people are sufficiently narcissistic that they want a relationship with their own mirror, and will settle for one with someone who looks and acts as much like themselves as possible. The problems start when they compete for supremacy in the relationship.

No, I don't believe it's always true.
My partner and I are of similar build and have some similar likes and dislikes, but our personalities are different. She's an introvert and I'm an extrovert.
We usually agree on many levels though. So, no, we're not all that much of opposites.

Yes, its a proven fact that opposite attracts, both in Science and phyisology.
"Good girls" are attracted to "bad boys",
Tall guys attracted to short girls,
Slim girls attracted to muscular guys...
The gamut runs on and on...
Its fun to sit back and watch the interaction between people...
I wish you well..

My girlfriend and I are opposite which compliments us. I'm slender and she's a little thick. I'm quiet and she likes to chat. I'm reserved and she's very sociable....she has brought me out in more ways than one.
