The book of Ephesians, which contains the verses that say "wives submit to your husbands...husbands love your wives as Christ loved the church," was written by Paul, a man that was never married. Isn't that kind of ironic? I mean, I don't mean to undermine scripture, because a lot of it is valuable. But I realized this a while ago, and it jumped out at me. Your thoughts?

i've been smoking pot for about a year now, and from time to time when i'm high, i become 100% sure that i've done something REALLY awkward. the problem is that i've asked people who have smoked with me whether i actually am awkward or do weird things, and they say i don't, so i know i've made this up in the past. has anyone else managed to convince themselves that something happened when they were stoned that really didn't happen?

for people of faith to answer questions without attacking or condeming those who ask them? i know some questions are designed to make fun of or insult those people but i'm not talking about those.
i'm talking about those questions that are asked in order to get a better understanding of peoples different beliefs.
these people to are often attacked and it seems to mostly come from those of the christian faith. so i ask... whats it take to get a sincere and honest answer without being attacked?

I believe Set and Satan is just a representation of all predatorily living beings true will. Us humans are really not that much different from other meat eating animals. Why be dishonest with ourselves and claim we are any better?

Anyone else think Howie Mandel is a freak and should be fired?
If you dont know he wont shake your hands because he thinks your infected and too dirty to touch. Anyone else hate that freak? Did you know that he is such a germ phobe he keeps an antibacterial napkin in his pocket for after "touching knuckles" with someone. He sneaks his hand in his pocket and wipes it off after touching knuckles. When people win money they want to jump around and hug someone. Not freak boy though, he backs up like you have the plague

How were you baptized? In Jesus' Name, or in the titles father, son, and holy ghost? The only example given in scripture is in Jesus' Name. If you were baptized in the titles, could you please give a bible example of where anyone else was baptized this way in the New Testament church. This would be from Acts chapter 2 and on, not in the gospels.

i was raised protestant but converted to catholicism when i was older. to me or at least the branch of protestantism i was raised in was only created so divorce would be ok in the church? that just doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. Martin Luther’s version is ok i understand that. but the rest of it is just stupid and selfish. does that fact bother any one else?

Everytime I go out I see women of color (latinas/hispanics, Black, mixed) wearing bleach blonde or dirty blonde colored hair. I don't get it, I know that White girls bleach their hair too but they can do that. Why don't women of color except their own beauty because it's just as hot? Also some singers who aren't white are rocking the blonde hair. Such as Mary J. Blige, Shakira, Beyonce etc.. What is the big deal about being blonde? What's wrong with dark hair?

I am a female and I love all things...except shallow people. I love sports and cooking and the occasional,trend. But at parties and friends gathering...all they do is gossip, i don't want to hang out with the guys and talk about sports...although i would love to...but the women talk about their kids( i have none yet) or about the latest rumors. They even judge people at the party...there are some very pretty girls...and they get hated on, I don't like the gossip so I leave...often finding myself alone in a corner. some make the comments that they hate sports and thier boyfriends for watching...so sports converations are out. I could talk about the latest fashion...but that quickly turns into the latest gossip..because some bought that pair of jeans ..now they think they are hot...and then it's off to has the juicier gossip. I don't want to stay home...or stop attending the scocial events all together...but what else can I do...if i really don't like the dramatic conversations .

The laws (rules, regulations or doctrine,) of your gods and your church are the ultimate last resort for your decisions concerning your spiritual well being.

if you agree with this statement, then why would it matter to what the laws of man or a country say. because in your personell life the laws that you believe in through your religion are the higher laws to follow right?

so with that said why do so many people feel the need to protest any law or action that does not agree with the laws of their church or religion. after all what i do really does not effect you so if i decide to marry a gay man or support a friend in an abortion what does it really matter to you? you have done nothing wrong. it is my soul that is on the line. so what do the laws of man and country really have to do with religion?
