It doesn't bother me. To each their own path to God. I left that faith for Catholicism 23 years ago too.

There are better examples of Christianity than Protestantism and Catholicism. You actually went backwards. You were not very far from the end to begin with, then you went in the wrong direction. Turn around and go all the way to a Bible believing church. I think you will be surprised.

The protest was against regulations and rules put upon people. Receiving the word of God, in a language that they didn't understand, having to go thru a man to get to God....people felt that each person had access to God and should be able to read the word themselves....the verse 'be like the bereans' who studied to see if what they were told was in fact the truth, comes to mind....it could not be done if a person could not read it for themselves. BUT...I do not proclaim to be a scholar on early catholocism....

How do you feel about the pope planing to change back to Latin so you cant understand a thing? Does that make more sense then reading from the English bible like Protestants do?

I think the idea of the Pope bothers people but, they don't understand that now they just have hundreds of self-proclaimed Popes in all of the little Churches all over the country.

Protestantism makes me sad because of all those people who separated themselves from the Holy Eucharist.

No we are all have the same Savior and they are just as sincere about their love of God as Catholics.
There are bad and good right and wrong in both groups.

It most likely bothers Jesus, who founded only one church for the salvation of all, and who fervently desired all to be one, through him, and through the universal church, which remains one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic:
Joh 17:21 That they all may be one, as thou, Father, in me, and I in thee; that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
Joh 17:22 And the glory which thou hast given me, I have given to them: that, they may be one, as we also are one.
Joh 17:23 I in them, and thou in me: that they may be made perfect in one: and the world may know that thou hast sent me and hast loved them, as thou hast also loved me.
