Both are condemned in the Old Testament, but they claim they can eat pork because they're "not under the law". Didn't the law include homosexuality? Doesn't that mean it's fair game?

Christians can %. and choose what they like and dislike interior the Bible, only such as you may %. purely some factors of the Readers' Digest to examine in case you will. in case you communicate approximately beef, the OT is undesirable. in case you communicate approximately slavery, rape, mass killing, etc., the OT is undesirable. yet, in case you communicate with regard to the ten Commandments, the OT is nice. EDIT: Nicole R "via the time Jesus got here, cooking tech had extra advantageous" HAAHAAAH!!! And precisely wherein way had cooking beef develop into safer? Oh, and what have been the STDs of the time that made Jesus settle on that homosexuality might desire to develop right into a sin? There is a different between "Ancient Jewish Law" and "Universal Law." Things like sowing in 2 different grains in 1 field and food restrictions were only meant for ancient Jews. Jesus makes it clear later on that God is more concerned about what is in your heart than in your stomach.

Sexual immorality is unviersally (for all time and all people) WRONG. It is never allowed in the Bible. Jesus did spare the woman caught in adultry but she was NOT pronounced innocent and Jesus told her she had to leave her life of sin! Things like murder, stealing, rape, homosexuality, are written as detestable to God and still are not free to do after being saved by Jesus, far from it!

Jesus declared all foods "clean". As Christians, we are not commanded to submit to Jewish CULTURAL laws, such as eating/abstaining from certain foods, restrictions on tatoos, wearing certain clothing, etc.

The MORAL law is quite different. That has never changed. The only difference now is, Jesus gives us the ability to live within the law, not just be chased down by it! By Jesus Christ can we love people of our own gender, without sinning against them as sex offenders.

The new testament Church has the God given authority to regulate Christian behavior in modern times.

It is the Church which teaches that homosexual behavior is sinful, and seriously disordered.

The Church is right.
