Why does the church say that God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33), when many biblical passages flatly contradict this?

I consider myself to be fairly intelligent, but I couldn't understand

We keep on disputing or even making war in the name of religion, but do we really spend some time to learn about the nature of this cherished reality of millions of hearts throughout history?

About a week ago I posted something on here asking my fellow Christians to pray for me because I had lost my job on Friday. Well, I applied for unemployment on Monday and when I got home I got a call for a job. One that pays more than the job that I had lost. this is proof that faith in God can get you through anything. I know there will be alot of negative people post ridiculous answers about how it was coincidence. I know better and my fellow Christians with faith in the Lord Jesus Christ know better. I just wanted to say thank you to the ones who did pray for me. May God bless you all! (Even the negative ones)

Honestly, I have always been an atheist, and I no longer believe that I have any choice in the matter. I can't force myself to believe in a god, so I have to ask, for theists, can you, right now, become an atheist? Can you actually stop your belief in a God if you wanted to? Why or why not?

I am not of any organised religion, in fact, I'm not sure the spirit world even exists, and God as a single entity to pray to seems odd to me. I live my life according to good behaviour, justice, politeness, and a sense of right and wrong. Therefore, if I don't believe in the spirits, and only go by what I see as reality before my very eyes, does that mean I am a realist?

i think it is unfair, hypocritical, and just plain dumb to bash someone for asking a question or stating their opinion. I didnt say all gays should burn in hell or anything crazy like that, i simply asked a question and did not recieve an answer for it. it really does not make sense to me that a group of people who want so badly to have their rights (that i think they SHOULD HAVE) not be willing to answer a question. If you all think that i was trying to be rude or offend anyone then you are wrong. But i dont think it is right for you all to say things about my appearance based on a half inch picture. besides...does it really make a difference if gay men and lesbians dont find me attractive? :) i am trying to have an understanding of you and you dont allow me to so i think tha tif people are unsypmathetic to you maybe it is your fault for not being willing to talk to people and embrace their opinions. not everyone is going to like your lifestyle. i am sorry things are so hard for you.

on the radio i heard that it was the most popular costume this season and stores just can't keep them in stock. personally i think that is morbid and a horrible idea. i feel terrible for his family. but i also heard that when the tiger bite roy from siegfried and roy, the number one costume was his outfit with a tiger biting the neck. what do you think??
