Go to church
Go to the cemetary- bring flowers
Look at pictures and reflect on memories
Volunteer at some organization she was close to
Visit with other family and friends and tell Mom stories
Talk to her in prayer and wish her a happy birthday- and let her know how much you miss her.

Do what feels right to you, whether it's going out to a dinner with friends in honor of her memory, to spending the day quietly by yourself, to visiting her grave with flowers, or planting a tree in her honor.
Don't let people deride your way of honoring her memory, they are not you, and obviously cannot grasp good manners and have no empathy. They do not understand that what is right for them, is not always right for others. Go to a friend or family member who will listen, and support you emotionally.
Some people prepare a feast of their loved ones favorite foods or best recipes and have family and friends over to celebrate their loved one's memory. I know of more than one person who has done this as a way to honor their loved one.
Do what feels right to you, but don't stay alone too long. Let others comfort you. You need company, whether you realize it or not. I am sending good thoughts your way.

go to her grave, talk to her, just reflect on her life and your experiences with her. I know this sounds depressing but wear black in respect of remembering her. I do something every year. One of my closest friends was killed like 6 years ago on St Patty's day and instead of wearing green I wear black but because I am part irish I wear a green accessory but I just wear black and just remember him. Thats what I recommend. Wear black in respect of mourning her but celebrate her life. Go to her grave, talk to her and just remember the good times
