Placed here by a higher consciousness? "Aliens" if you will, "God", if you won't? Suppose we are a giant petri dish (Earth) and we are just an ant farm for a few hundred species that may have created human religion just fo their amusement or whatever...to see how we would manifest over millenia with major methods of thinking about divinity (god) and worship in place?

This is a serious question, but it's not going to sound like it at first, so please bear with me. Can the orixas be syncreticised with comic book superheroes? Take for instance the pairing of storm from the x-men and oya--storm was found posing as a goddess in africa, both are beautiful, strong, amazonesque women with complete control over the weather and fight using lightening and tornadoes as their weapons, but thanks to halle berry and the movies, it's easier to visualise storm--can this work for me? or will oya get ticked off? Other pairings I have come up with are mystique/oxun, because of the colors blue and red and mystiques ability to look like anybody she chooses equates to beauty, and xango kabiosile/captain marvel, because they were both chosen by higher powers to have powers bestowed upon them, and both have magick lightning and dress in the color red

"I've come back to say I love you one more time"
When I was here before, you were so unkind,
so I've come back to tell you one more time."

This is some of the words. I've looked a lot of places for it. The first one that can tell me exactly where I can find it on the internet gets 10 pts.
Thank you in advance

With the newest school shooting coming out on the news I started wondering. Why is it always white people that have been shot or did the shooting that make it on the news?

In inner-cities there are shootings every night and inner-city school shootings don't even make it on the news most of the time. All the shootings I can remember that have made it to the national (not local) news stations have been involving white people (that hunting guy in the woods, the Cheney hunting accident, and now the school shooting). I am not saying that all these things are not trajic, but I used to live in Philadelphia and I know the shootings that go on there every night. Those shootings never make it on the news (sometimes on the local news but never on the big networks). And, don't give me the crap about gang violence, because many of the shootings involve innocent people getting killed and it still does not make the news.

I know the answer is racism, but I'd like to know what you all think.

I've been reading the bible and am having trouble understanding something, I'm hope you guys can help.

If I accept this Jesus guy and ask him to forgive my sins, I'll be rewarded by getting to spend all eternity in Heaven and be infinitely happy, right?

But if I don't worship this guy, I'll be sent to a place called Hell where I'll go through pain, suffering, and torture for all eternity, right?

So why is it I can cure cancer and AIDS but be sent to Hell and be tortured for all eternity just bc I'm Atheist, yet a man can rape and murder a million women but repent before death and be rewarded with eternal happiness in Heaven? Why would I want to worship someone like that? Don't dodge the issue and simply say, "well, he loves you and died for you etc....." there isn't any actual proof of that. I want an answer that is logically strong and valid by explaining the issue itself, not some bible propaganda.

The most controversial religious issue, on which innumerable debates since the days of the Roman Emperor Constantine have been and still are engaged in by people professing to be CHRISTIANS, is probably the NATURE of THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
