Whenever there is a serial killer, they show people on the news that are scared because it is happening near their area or state. These serial killers are killing a certain type of person, example: prostitutes, transients, people that are someplace they shouldn't be, etc. I understand that it doesn't make it right and having any killer out there is scary but personally I don' t get too scared of a serial killer who kills prostitutes at truckstops and so on because I know I don't fit the discription. I can understand if someone was killing nice quiet decent citizens on their way to church or school or whatever, but these same decent citizens shouldn't be scared in their neighborhoods when they don't fit the description of the type that is being killed. Concern I understand, but fear of being a victim, I don't.

Please translate this for me. Thanks!

If so, then you are "unclean" acording to the bible. I don't understand how Christians can say that the Bible says homosexuality is wrong when it says the same thing about eating pigs. Hypocrite is the name of the game: If you think homosexuals are going to hell for being "unclean" (which I do not believe), then you are going to hell for eating pig and being "unclean".

I'm a Christian, and I ask because I was talking to an old friend earlier this evening, and he mentioned that another one of our old friends had started his own church. My buddy said that he asked the guy why he decided to start up his own church, and the answer he got was simply, "I've got a better way to reach people for God." The guy is a Christian, and has always dedicated his life to serving God. My buddy verified that the church was a Christian church (just to be sure our old friend hadn't went Waco or anything like that.) But knowing this guy as I do, I have no doubt that he believes he has a new technique that will reach more people for God than what's currently available.

So if you had the money, resources, etc. to start a new church, what would you do differently than................well, whatever you think is or isn't being done now. Just curious.

The recent shootings in PA were tragic. The reactions of the Amish as reported by the media were to 'follow the teachings of Jesus' in forgiveness. We were urged to forgive and not hate the man responsible by those most closely affected. My question is, would Jesus really forgive this man? Remember Matthew 21:12; And Jesus entered the temple of God and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons. Clearly Jesus, whatever you believe about him was able to take offense and react with passion. If sellers in the temple could offend him, how do you think he'd react to this senseless killing of children? Remeber, shortly thereafter, Matthew 21:16; And Jesus said to them, "Yes; have you never read, 'Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast brought perfect praise'?" I'm asking as I try to deal with my own anger.

America & Great Britain have been materially blessed beyond all others. In spie of our disobedience to God's laws, He has been faithful to His promise and extremely merciful. How long will this last? How long before He removes that blessing and allows the curses of Leviticus 26 to overwhelm the present power of the U.S.? We will no longer be able to influence world events! America has not won a war since 1945. Do you se any instances today where America seems to be losing its powers little by little?

Whenever a Christian feels passionate about something and tries to share their opinion that we get slammed and told that we are hateful, intolerant people who are just reading a false bible anyhow. WHY, WHY, WHY? Why can we not stand up for the God that we love SO much and not be told that we are being hateful. Why is it SO bad to disagree with somebody and tell them that they are wrong and we get blaimed because we are only going by the bible. "Only going by the bible" that's what my entire life is founded on. I haven't dedicated my whole life to a faulty book, why is it that so many people don't believe and how to we help them to believe in love so they don't think we are hateful? Sorry I'm open to suggestions here, Christian and non-Christian viewpoints will be gladly taken in. I'm so frustrated right now...

I'm not referring to straight people who I would consider respectful and non-prejudice and I don't mean the gay-bashers who just pop in here randomly. I'm talking about the people (men and women) who are in here quite often and then claim they are straight and hate gays. If they really are straight and hate gays so much, why do they frequent a community for GLBT?

I wonder...is it a curiosity thing? Is it because they are actually extremely closeted and don't know how to deal with it, other than lashing out at us? is it because they seriously think that their negativity and gay-bashing is going to get us to change?

I know this question may sound like I'm being sarcastic, but I really am serious!
