The medical community believes that near death experiences (white lights etc) are caused by lack of oxygen to the brain and dilating pupils. Who knows what happens to someone's brain as they approach death? They could see or hear anything. Besides, there are plenty of people who come back without any weird experiences at all.

A) Some doctors have put neon signs on top of drawers so those who felt they were rising above their body could read them, not one person has every seen the signs.
B) If you believe that there is a soul, how do you explain brain damage that affects your personality? Is your soul in danger if your personality changes to evil/ blasphemous? WHy/how is there a connection between the physical and metaphysical?

Anyone can claim anything. My mother makes the same claims of her NDE. She's not lying. She's just halucinating because her oxygen was cut off to her brain.
