If you are truly a former Muslim, and were actually raised in a Muslim family, you would never have this much hatred not only to Islam, but to any other religion or group of people...
And having done college as you claim (and I seriously doubt this), you would have known that religion is a theory, a belief system, just like the evolution theory you so love... and as an academic person, you would've been trained to respect (you don't have to accept, but respect) other belief systems...
Oh, and if you have the tiniest bit of courage, voice out your sick opinions in public.... but no you wouldn't, because people like you find this forum a much safer place to let out their sick blind hatred...

Yes Gabriel angel did fly from heaven with a message from Allah to Muhammad prophet pbuh and also to other prophets including Jesus and Moses..Angels were made by Allah from light and they have no lust,so they are always honest.and they dedicated their lives only to Allahj.

First of all, Farishta is a Farsi word i.e. a non-quranic term.
Quran speaks about Malaika Jibreel. So it is important to know the meaning of Malaika. (words when imported to other languages usually lose their orignal meaning or idea.)
Moving ahead with the question about flying from heaven...
Nuzool-e-Quran or Quran Descends refers to the stage when Mankind struggled successfuly to the stage to realise and comprehend Quran-The Final Code. And Prophet Muhammad realised the Quran, and with this guidance of God raised mankind to the highest level. (Meeraj-e-Insaniyat).
So as the Law says: Mankind rejoice on receiving the Charter of Freedom (Quran)
