With the newest school shooting coming out on the news I started wondering. Why is it always white people that have been shot or did the shooting that make it on the news?
In inner-cities there are shootings every night and inner-city school shootings don't even make it on the news most of the time. All the shootings I can remember that have made it to the national (not local) news stations have been involving white people (that hunting guy in the woods, the Cheney hunting accident, and now the school shooting). I am not saying that all these things are not trajic, but I used to live in Philadelphia and I know the shootings that go on there every night. Those shootings never make it on the news (sometimes on the local news but never on the big networks). And, don't give me the crap about gang violence, because many of the shootings involve innocent people getting killed and it still does not make the news.
I know the answer is racism, but I'd like to know what you all think.

First off, yes, there are inner-city school shootings that don't make it on national news. Secondly, I NEVER said that inner-city shootings don't make it on the news at all, they just get reported on the much less watched local news (at like 1am when no one is awake). Thirdly, if a kid gets shot in a school, a kid gets shot in a school and it is tragic. My point is that kids get shot in cities all the time, and mothers, and husbands, and pregnant women, but those aren't shown on the national news. Only when some white kids get shot does the maintsream media care and then people donate all this money to help the families of the victims. Why do they all the sudden donate money to these white victims instead of previously donating it to charities that help inner-city people? Racism
