and the topic of the conversation was about you? (Long story short, people were gossiping about me.) At first I was actually embarrassed for the people that were doing the gossiping. The expressions on their faces was priceless! (LOL) After I walked out of the room, I was in fact, a little hurt and disappointed. What would you have done if it were you?

I hear too many Christians refer to their belief in God as if it is something that required a jettison of reason. Others, mostly non-believers, have said that faith and logic are not compatible implying that choices based on logic are the only valid ones. But if I look rationally at the evidence for a creator and determine that it is sufficient for a logical decision to believe and put my trust in the claims of Christ, how can this be said to be "blind-faith?" Knowing what I do about the nature of man and the personal witness to my heart concerning the guilt of sin and a God that gave me a brain, isn't it logical that He would expect me to use it? It would seem to me that "blind-faith" fits the category of those who refuse to believe rather than vice-versa. What do you think?

- I am 15 years old, in secondary school
- I am quite fluent in German (3 years), good at Spanish (1 year), and Japanese (home-study off and on).

- There are more Portuguese speakers than French, but French is wider spoken.

- Would knowing Spanish make French easier, and the same for Portuguese, or would it cause confusion...

when there is quite a few of us that find it objectionable and tiresome to say the least? Why do we have to buy candies every year just to keep the status quo?

I asked this question and it got deleted.
I don't see any racism in this question as I am a black woman.
I respect anyone who respects me, regardless of race.
Hence, I will ask this question again.

Black women are stereotyped as being either overwieght or loud, ghetto and rude. As a black woman, I fit niether stereotype.

I'm not fat
I'm not ghetto
I'm not loud
I am not rude
I work for a living
I am independent

And as a plus, I know many, many black women that don't fit these stereotypes.

Can you grow faith? Is there a limit to how much faith a person can have? Isn't faith limited by our will power, and isn't will power limited?

The pages of National Geographic frequently show tribal women in a topless state. I was doing some humanitarian work with Sesame Street one summer, and I decided to join them. My colleagues believed I was wrong in doing so. What do you think?

Why do people feel the need to give smart mouthed answers which are usually no help what so ever and sometimes appear abusive. Are these people, sad, selfish or just down right ignorant. I was under the immpresion that these question and answer pages were for people to help one another out. perhaps I am just too naive!

You can all believe what you want, but I must say that this idea of Christians that God was not able to forgive their sins without the death of Jesus is quite strange. I found this Bible verse in the context of this theology of "atonement of human sins by the death of Jesus":

"In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness." (Hebrews 9:22)

Christianity is the only present religion with this concept. Still Christians often speak as if they imagined God the most loving and forgiving and this made them better than other religions. Why?

LOL! I'm writing a thank you letter for my family who helped us move and would like that word in different languages as a background in the letter. Please format your answer like so:

familia - Spanish

That way I know which language it is - also if you see someone playing tricks on me, please let me know! We all know how some people think it's funny!

Thanks everyone!!!! :)
