Why or why not?

By the way, I take exception to the comments elk312 made. I am offended that elk312 wrote that my thoughts were subversive.

Non.

France is a country of hypocrites. Many reasons for this: (1) They brag about their separation of church and state, yet their society is so sterile and hostile to religions that you could argue that the French culture (which once was a spiritual one) is without a soul. (2) France has no respect for their minorities native to their land (Corsicans, Bretons, Basque, and Alsace Lorraine Germans) yet they kiss the azzes of their Muslim newcomers. (3) France is ungrateful- they despise the US and UK even though they would today be singing "Deutchelande Uber Alles" without Anglo-American blood sacrificed on their soil.

Yes, Oui Bien sur!! I love the french and France it is a beautiful country with wonderful people all of whom are individuals.. I don't judge an entire country's people on the acts of their government. We don't like it done to us either right!?! I've been all-over France and it will always live in my heart. I never received anything but the best treatment and have the best memories to treasure forever.

France seems like an ok place, I'd like to see the southern coast most of all. I need to learn to speak french for my job (old world anthropological archaeologist), so sometime in the future I will be in France. There are places I like better, and places I like less, but France is ok. I like any country that has government sponsored day-care for single-working moms.

What does the one have to do with the other? I see no reason for anyone not to like any other country. Every country has its positives and its negatives. It's subversive thoughts like yours that get us all into a lot of trouble.

Moi, je suis americaine. Je parle français. Oui, j'adore la France.

Your question implies any one ever liked France to begin with. Unless you're looking for a country to invade France is worthless. I hear they a born with their hand above their heads waving a white flag. Seems to be true.
