This may sound wierd but I do. I ask the ladies because I've noticed that women are more comfortable with this than men are.

Did you see an immediate change in your lifestyle. Or was it a gradual process? Or did it change you at all?

I have a project due and I need to know the saint that Catholics pray to to get the ill better. I need to know how much of a role this saint plays or is thought to play in making someone feel better.

Up until recently, I was practically pouncing at the idea of having my own little bundle of joy to take care of and love. It was my dream ever since I was a child, to have my own child, someone to baby and take care of and teach, to watch them grow up and -- hopefully -- blossom into a wonderful representation of the human race.

But then I remembered a whole bunch of things.

I have anemia (low red blood cell, high white blood cell variety), asthma, hypoglycemia, and scoliosis. Also, heart problems, cancer, and teeth problems (Mom had denchers when she turn 20) run in my family.

Also, I remember as child feeling -- and still feel -- as if everything that went wrong was my problem, that I could do nothing right, and that I'd never be good enough to do much anything...

... I also remember that my mother and father (well, err, he was supposed to be my father but actually isn't... stupid genetics) broke up because I was going to be born.

I don't want ANY child to have to go -

The jokes were ok at the being now there just annoying. Every time I look for a real question to answer all I see are these retard and other questions?
A joke is good here and there but this is just tiring now. Does any one else feel that way? Is there anything else that we can do to stop these questions? I’ll admit I’ve asked a few silly questions, here and there also but nothing like what is going on now.
What do you think of the new R&S jokes? Is there anything that can be done?

Personally, I wonder why someone would ask the question at all.

Essentially, it's like saying:
"Only people who agree with me can answer..."

what's the point???

Why PRETEND to be intellectually curious by asking a question if you've really only want to hear a particular response?

And why would a person want to lead such an intellectually sheltered and cowardly life?

Don't we learn MORE from people who disagree with us than we ever could from people we disagree with us?

John Stuart Mill said it best:
"He who knows only his side of the case, knows LITTLE of that"

Ok, so I was going to post this in the GLBT section, but that seemed kind of pointless since most of us over there are gay. I figured, hey most of the people here are straight, so I'll ask them. Think really hard about your answers though; on the GLBT forum, many people ask, "Why are you gay?" So to these people and the rest of you I ask:

Why are you straight?

A lot of his teachings have been taught at many schools in mondern China, right? But aren't there other positive things? I mean, Confucius was a very important man at that time, so he must have done a lot of important things. Are the things being taught effective?

Do you find it hard at times to juggle the priorities of raising a child and the priorities of work? My daughter got sick with flu this last week and I stayed home one day with her as both of us had been up all night the night before. It's hard for all the dilemmas you face wanting to be a good mom and employee as well. How do you do it?
