They don't. They just pretend they do. Christians are fornicating all over the place just like everyone else.

NO! Why are atheists so sex obsessed. We wait until after we are married for several reasons 1) it is a sin to have sex before marriage and you risk eternal damnation but aside from that 2) we only want to be intimate with the person we are married to so why take chances before that happens 3) we aren`t interested in getting aids or any other STDs and only abstinance is 100% effective 4) purity of heart and body are important 5)we marry for life so the focus on the sex life is irrellevent, since by your question you suggest that how it is at the beginning is a guage of how it will be for the next 50 years...not a good method. And 6) it makes the next 20 years of developing an intimate life together more fun with less hang ups.

There is a lot of common sense behind this advice.
Not only does loose sex spread disease, cause broken homes,
the financial difficulty for a single parent. And today the DEADBEAT DADs WILL pay up! Not to mention the tragedy of abortion, and the psychological after-effects.
Plus the most important to me, and the least mentioned. That it
creates powerful feelngs in us, and if that love is not returned. It can cause one to never be able to trust or love again.
And this. If a person screws around. They are going to have at
least one lover that will "rock their world. And then, they marry someone who is averge in bed. And want to hate their own partner because they can't get the greatest sex.
Better to marry, and the only sex one will ever know is the sex
within thier marriage. And maybe, they won't crack up, or
ruin a lifetime of effort in a marrage, and lose it all over a sexual
thrill, having an affair.

It isn't just a Christian thing. Many non Christians abstain from sexual relations, some for different religious reasons and others for ethical reasons.
Christians see sex as something sacred because it is the joining of the flesh, "the two become one."
I interpret that to mean that pregnancy can occur. However, others see it more in a spiritual sense.
Practicing safe sex by using condoms can prevent pregnancy, but doesn't prevent the more intimate connection two people have from sexual intercourse. This is why many people abstain from sex until marriage.

I honestly think it's a bad idea not to. Bad sex and drama from living together are some of the chief causes of early divorce and marital turbulence. It's best to have some sex and live together for a while before getting married to make sure that it will come out okay.

Mostly because that's what the scripture instructs us to do. Regardless of whether you want to adhere to scripture or not, it is the best thing for us if we wait until marriage so that a child is not born unto a single parent. If we waited until marriage, the mental health of our children would be much better, because they would all be born into two parent homes. Also std's would be much less of a problem.
That particular scripture really only makes sense. I wish I had done it that way.

You disgust me. Human beings are not cars. Our bodies are temples to God, and we must keep them holy and pure as He commanded us to. Plus, stuff is more fun if you have to wait for it. Since you insist on comparing us to cars, I'll put it this way. Getting to drive is more fun, safer, and definitely more legal if your parents make you wait until you have a license rather than if you've been driving since you were ten.

YA but a car is different coz you can keep it!! But if you have sex with your girl/boyfriend then they leave, that is then called prostitution!! When you're married, you're tied together and promised all those vows!! Then it's ok to do it, coz then ti wouldn't be called prostitution!!
