That sound familiar to me... Scared of public speaking...
First of all I don't think you have to go out all over the world to spread His word...
There are other ways to let "everyone" know about our Lord...
Like writing short stories or poems...
If you have a web-log you can do it from there or a Myspace... You might get some haters but haters are always around...
When you feel it's necessary to go out all over the world than go for it... He will lead you... Only you can answer that question... Listen to your inner-voice...
And to the atheist who are telling you to wake up... You are already up... The one who needs to open their eyes are the atheists...
Another way to spread the word... Do some volunteer work... It will boost your self confidence... You learn from others throughout experience... Even the ones you help will inspire you...
Good luck.... And God bless you...

There are many many ways to preach God's word. If you're scared of public speaking, don't worry.
You can work with missionaries and hand out Bibles... I consider that spreading the Word. You can sponsor a child through World Vision or another organization and show them God's love. I think there are different ways.
I LOVE what St. Francis of Assisi (12th century saint in Italy) had to say: "Preach the Gospel through all the world - and if necessary, use words."
Remember, actions speak louder than words :)

Hi, I am a Christian and Wake Up is Good advise!! See we are in an illusion, like unconsious and we wake up when we regain Christ Consiousness..
At the time you receive the call to preach you will know it and be filled with the Holy Spirit and the Spirit will tell you what to say...Before you receive the Holy Spirit you need to be free of all fear!! (did you no people are more afraid of public speaking then of death??) First you need to do the work and then the Holy Spirit will actually give you wisdom so you will fully understand what you would preach....A good start for you would be reading the books from Don Miguel Ruiz///
Always listen to your heart
Love

Pray for boldness and opportunities. The Holy Spirit dwells with believers.
The bible doesn't say to bash people over the head or to cram anything down people's throats.
You can offer to pray for someone who is going through a tough time or illness. The bible doesn't say that you have to be a public speaker to talk about Jesus.
Evangelism works best one on one. Do you have a friend, relative or neighbor who is an unbeliever? You can invite them to a bible study...ya never know, they may be seeking -and you have the answer, they just never knew how to ask.!!
I did that this summer - hosted and led a bible study. You can do it or something similar. God will give you wisdom and guidance, just ask Him.
"The name of the Lord is a strong tower the righteous runs into it ans is safe" Proverbs 18:10
Hope this helps

Hi fellow Christian.
Ok ~ now it does say to preach this but it also says your life is your gift to God. What u do with it, give it to God. Some of us have kids, or families to take care of. If YOU feel like you are called to preach, and spread the love, sell all your belongings and go, GOD BLESS AND GOD SPEED. But it doesn't need to be so international. In a way, speaking in the U.S. to people OF different nations is a way of preaching. But I feel ya, love the love.
Follow your heart, pray and He will tell you what to do.
Ironically, in a way, this is preaching.:)

there are many different ways to " preach the Gospel. " my dad always said he would rather see a good sermon than hear one as people would remember kind acts long after a minister's sermon was forgotten. one of the major ways my dad " preached the
Gospel " was to be tolerant of the belief systems of those who differed with his. as long as they respected dad's he respected theirs. dad never argued for or against only discussing in order to gain more wisdom and knowledge. this was the greatest way of
" preaching the Gospel " I've ever seen.

You don't personally have to go to all the nations. There are, however, missionaries all over the world. By supporting those ministries, we are helping them to preach to all nations. Those people aren't doing it alone.
Additionally, there are things that you can do that don't involve public speaking. We all have our callings and God will show you what yours is.

Yes, we should preach to everyone and follow in the footsteps of Jesus and the Apostles.
Paul is a great example, he went and preached within the temples of the Gentiles. That would be like walking into an Islamic mosque or Jewish temple today and start preaching the good news of Christ.

personally I think it doesnt mean you should go out in the street and preach to everyone abt the gospel, unless you feel it is your mision. I meet people who I discus the gospel with, God brings them to me. Look into yourself, you probably know the answer, otherwise you hv to be patient and God will bring you to answer. Bless u

yes it does mean to actually go out and preach all over the world. as far as being scared of public speaking, put your trust in god and you will find the courage and the words and god will help you get through it. your fear of public speaking is just one of potentially many small crosses that is yours to bare.
--and sorry for answering, i know you asked for christian believers only.
