My husband and I Christmas tradition is this: We go and pick out an ornament together for our tree each year and then we buy each other an ornament each year as a surprise and we get to open our ornament gift on christmas eve and hang it on the tree. Its so much fun. I always can't wait to see what ornament he has picked out for me.

People say just be yourself, but it seems that doesn't work for some people. For some, being yourself can make your life terrible for you. Most people won't like your ideas, the way you dress, talk, act, think, move, etc. When ever you disagree with people, you usually get more problems.

SO, it seems that if you just do what everyone says, be agreebale all the time, & be what everyone wants you to be, that everyone treats you like a saint, saying things like, "Oh he's such a great person", "Oh, he's so easy to talk to", or "Oh, he's so easy going & out going", etc.

It seems that being fake is actually the best way to be to have a smooth and easy life. But being real means disagreements, arguements, people hating you, bosses firing you, etc.

It seems like only some people can be themselves and get away with it. Those are the people who ARE exactly the way popular people of the world wants people to be, act, look like, sound like, etc.

What do you think?

people say it's English but English is my second language and it wasn't hard at all. Spanish (or any other Roman language) is harder because you have to conjugate the verb to the pronoun and the preterite, present, imperfect... and in English you don't have to conjugate the verb only for he/she/it and for the preterite, just add -ed.

of Yahoo answers than most other subjects? And it is so often the Christians attacking, which I believe was covered when Jesus said "Do unto other's...l" Why do Christians continually ignore the teachings of THEIR messiah and attack other's for differing opinions on the matter? Peace.

The following answers, I suspect, will illustrate my point exactly. Happy answering.

It seems like a homeless or low income mother never wins the lottery, it is always a retired couple with a nice home or a professional person who wins the big money. When I lost my job, I didn't get any more pay, whereas when many professional people are fired or lose their jobs, get serverance pay for several months. Those up against financial opsticals never find a way out whereas someone with financial problems that could evently fix it because they have a good income and can cut stuff out, unlike those of us who can't cut anything out because it's all necessaties, get money left to them, or they win a new car, etc. I never buy lotto tickets or anything so I don't expect to win anything, but it seems like in general those who need the most, get the least breaks.

Just a thougt, not trying to be blasphemous or something. I know I wouldn't really know what to do, since I don't even know what being God really implies, wether there are boundaries to power or anything...what would you do?

KJV: And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

Does this mean Jesus will be born again on earth?

I am not a native English speaker, and my accent always shows whenever I try to match the accent of a Canadian English speaker.

However, when I speak English with a pirate accent, my native accent is barely noticeable. All of the linguistic prosidic aspects of my English improve when I culture such an accent. Why?

And does that mean that I should always use a pirate accent when I speak English to disguise that other accent?

Matthew 7:13-14 (King James Version)

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

This is one of my favorite passages. What is yours and what do you think of it?
