The flag of Saudi Arabia is the flag used by the government of Saudi Arabia since March 15, 1973. It is a green flag featuring in white an Arabic inscription and a sword.
The script on the flag is written in the Thuluth script. It is the shahada or Islamic declaration of faith:
Ùا Ø¥Ù٠إÙا اÙÙÙ Ù
ØÙ
د رسÙ٠اÙÙÙ
la ilaha illa allahu muhammad rasulu llah
"There is no god but God; Muhammad is the Messenger of God"
The sword, symbolising the victories of Ibn Saud, is underneath the inscription.
Green flags bearing this or other Arabic scripts are frequently seen in Islam and should not be confused with the Saudi national flag. These other flags normally do not bear the sword symbol.
The flag is manufactured with differing obverse and reverse sides, to ensure the shahada reads correctly, from right to left, from either side. The sword points from hoist to fly on both sides. The flag is sinister hoisted, meaning that the obverse side (front) has the hoist side (flagpole side) to the right.
The green color of this and other Islamic flags is said to be derived from the fact that the Prophet Muhammad wore a green cloak.

To answer the main question, that's tells all the woman of the country that they cannot speak words or they'll be cut up or stoned to death.
Just to clear matters up, ALLAH just means GOD. It makes me laugh when people speak English and then throw in an Arabic word such as;
I was walking down the street and a subee (boy in Arabic) winked at me
I'm so thirsty I need Aqua (water in Italian)
If they wish to speak in Arabic, go ahead but don't mix Arabic with English and claim Allah is a Moslem God (because the Christian Arabs use the same word Allah and it pisses them off that people associate the word Allah with Moslems).
Thank you Allah for allowing me to be born in a country that doesn't have swords on its flag.

This a good question. In my opinion this is just a symbolic sword, depicting the ancient wars. I have seen on Tv the suicide attacks but never seen a suicide sword.

The sword is used all over the place in Christian symbolism. Maybe you should explore the bible before you go searching for faults elsewhere.

In many coltures, a Sword is a symbol of Nobility.
the cross was a torture device used to kill people but many christians wear it proudly.
sometimes you have to look beyond the item itself to the meaning that a colture has behind it.
