Why should it? It used to be that you had to physically appear in a place in order to get a job, or even present an Idea. I think that perhaps the internet has finally made all people equal. Because a kid in the most violent ghetto could conceivably compete in the same market as a lazy white kid who only wants to play unreal tournament.

the internet brings forward an unprecedented exchange of Ideas. It used to be that being a 'c' student in the U.S. was better than being an 'a' student anywhere else. Well, not anymore. The next Bill Gates could come from Malawi instead of silicon valley.

Now it's what you know that matters, more than who you are. The issue of Race was artifice from the start. Now it's totally irrelevant.

im totally believing that God is responsible for all life on earth. now before you stubborn scientists start rambling off about the evidence of evolution, couldnt we just say that God created evolution?? I believe that the 7 days of creation isnt literal, but saying that "in the beginning there was the heavens and the earth" maybe referring to inorganic matter used by God to create life in the big bang or something???

So anyone smart enough to consider the other side of their beliefs, tell me what you think.

Non-believers, just say boo or something.

I decided to sponsor a needy child thru Children Int'l. I wanted to since I was 18 & finally decided to hop on the internet & sponsor a child. I wanted an indian child. When you search you can see the child's first name. I skipped over the children with muslim first names (Mohammad, etc) Not only because I don't support muslims, but also because I wanted a hindu child, whose culture & religion facinates me.

Anyway, I picked a child with a first name that I thought was hindu. They sent me his information & I found out he's muslim. (last name is Ahmed). Ouch.

So now I feel like a heel if I disconnect from the sponsorship. I want to help a child. But I wanted him to be hindu, but def not muslim.

They don't offer religion--just country,gender, age & pictures. I try to remember that not all muslims are bad, but they are part of a religion I want no part of.

Can anyone help me with this decision? Am I a terrible person? Would you feel the same way? Constructive answers only

I get many violations from yahoo because I ask hard questions about terrorists, a.k.a. radical islamists. I have done the same with christianity and Jesus and don't get those violations. It makes me feel like a dude interviewing a hostile Bill Clinton. One violation reason they gave me was : That's right, a colon. I hope my apostrophe's didn't offend any muslims. But, do I really care?''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' I use toilet paper, not my hand.

jesus forgave and loved women who commited adultery, while muhommed had such women murdered. knowing this very well how can any woman still remain a muslim? is it because they are been forced by muslim men to remain as muslims or is it because they have no other place to turn to?

Our Preacher is basically a millionaire ... he has two large houses, many cars, he wears Armani Suits, his wife is covered in jewelry, he has two boats and a medium size yacht ... I am not making this up He is a Baptist Preacher in Texas near Dallas.

I can just barely pay my bills and he want 10% of my money?

And the church does not offer many services to the community ... in one program they give drug users $500 a month to stay off drugs, but all they day is go and use the money to by more drugs.

Understand I like the church, it is just I don't really think a preacher should be a millionaire. If anything he should be a pauper, or maybe somewhat better, but not rich ...

What should I do ... the sad thing is I notice there are a lot of other millionaire preachers ... so I don't see any point in leaving my congregation ... what should I do then ...

It is like Hank Williams Jr. said "God Bless you all, but most of all send your money"
