I have no idea. Honestly? My feeling is that we die and that is it. You have a limited time here to do whatever it is you wish, don't waste it waiting for a reincarnation or afterlife that may never come. Do I know that nothing happens? Nope. Do you know that something does happen? Nope. The problem with talking about any sort of afterlife is there is absolutely no evidence to support any opinion... unless you've talked to a dead person, and then I'd be concerned for your metal health... and no, the bible (or any other religious text) is not proof in the slightest of any afterlife...

All living things do not die, they make a transition. The molecule construction of your body changes form. This is self evident and is of course a fact. What is not known is are you aware of the change. Some evidence shows there could be a parallel universe. If that is true, you would transcend to the next level, what ever that is. All religion, is a invention of mankind.

Sweetie, we all know what happens when we die: we decompose like all flesh does when oxygen stops flowing.

Now lets suppose hypothetically (since there is no scientific evidence) that we have a spirit component which separates from our physical bodies. What happens to this? It really does not matter because no one has ever come back from the dead to prove otherwise. In short, there is no evidence: scientific or otherwise that supports the existence of a spirit component. Faith is not evidence!

From the Christian point of view that is one idea in that sect of Christianity there are others.
Another view says that what you believe in is what you will find first until your soul is ready for the real truth.
Yes I believe in reincarnation as means to correct any mistakes or to learn new lessons that your soul thinks it needs to learn.
Eventually we will all be called back into the body of the CREATOR OF ALL THINGS from which our SOULS were made.

Blessed be)o(

As soon as I die, I lose the ability to think, my body decomposes and I get buried ( hopefully) and my supposed soul does not exist.

This is what I think....however, I cant prove your way is wrong nor can you prove that my way is wrong. None of us have first handly experienced what a dead person has. Think whatever makes you feel comfortable but dont be upset when and if you find out what actually is.

I don't know. I could just cease to exist, I could review my life and choose the next one (reincarnation), or the Christians are right and I'll end up with eternal torment. It's one of those things I don't know until it happens.

I believe that after you die, you go to the Summerlands (a place to think and reflect on your previous lives) then are reborn. Each life has a different challenge for us to perfect on. When we have reached perfection we are reborn into the All.

My beliefs. Take them or leave them.
Brightest Blessings! )o(

Your guess is as good as mine! But until you die that's all you have going for you, your best guess.
Wouldn't it be a ***** if you spent your whole life preparing for an afterlife & it turned out that there isn't one?
So just in case, I live my life as if it's the only one I've got. That way, I figure I have nothing to lose!

Well! Jesus brings you ALL the teddy bears and all the candy you WANT! and there are NOOOOO cavities in heaven!

No, but seriously. Shortly after death, rigor mortus sets in. Your body loses moisture and starts to shrink. Within days the decomposistion process begins and then you rot. You won't know this is happening because your brain wont be functioning.
That's it. Sorry, but there is no evidence to support anything else.

It's like a light being turned off. Poof!

And I love how every single xian focuses on the good part of the afterlife, not one single person believes they are actually going to hell.
