Some people are under the impression that some magical thing comes over us and makes us stop sinning. That is something we have to do ourselves.
The way we think is changed, but you cant expect it to be something like..., "Wow! I saw lights and colors and then there was a flash and like..... "
See what I mean? The Apostle Paul's words to the saved who were slipping up..., "Stop sinning". The obviously implication is, only we can do that under our own power. Even then thats not to say we are immune to sinning, and we make screw ups from time to time. Its the deliberate over and over and over acts that we do willfully that must be stopped.
Be perfect as Jesus was perfect. The word perfect in this instance (from the original Greek) means "Mature". be mature. Again that is something we can attain ourselves. We just don't float on a cloud and have the Mormon Tabernacle Choir belting out Hallelujah every step we take. If we did people would get annoyed really quick.
I am not picking on you here, not at all. We all have our own cross (figurative cross) to bear after all.

You say these things "should have been life changing." I wonder... according to whom?
There is nothing "wrong" with you that is not also inherently "wrong" with every other person ever born (except Jesus Christ, who is without sin).
Rather than seeking a life-changing experience, why not experience a changed life (there is a difference)? Devote your life to God. Surround yourself in doing His work. Dive into the Holy Bible and find the Truth it contains.

Not sure what you mean. But you will experience life changing experiences when they come along.
If you are talking about miracles or seeing signs. You are concentrating on the wrong thing. Concentrate on god alone.
And why not give someone else a life changing experience. Pray for others. give to the poor. Do good works and it will come back to you.

How old r u? If you are seeking the experience for that purpose, perhaps that's why? You are trying to hard. Just go with the flow and try things, but don't "look" for life changing experiences.

The only experience that will truly change your life for all eternity is coming to God through Jesus Christ and receiving his Holy Spirit who will begin the work of making you more like Jesus. Click here to find out how http://contenderministries.org/romanroad.php

The key here is your use of the word I.
We must submit to God and his will and way for us. When we are trying to do it our way or our outcome, we will fail.
God tells us to bloom where we are planted. So just keep remembering why you are here and strive to live for that purpose alone and then you will see results, not yours, but Gods.
