Why should it? It used to be that you had to physically appear in a place in order to get a job, or even present an Idea. I think that perhaps the internet has finally made all people equal. Because a kid in the most violent ghetto could conceivably compete in the same market as a lazy white kid who only wants to play unreal tournament.

the internet brings forward an unprecedented exchange of Ideas. It used to be that being a 'c' student in the U.S. was better than being an 'a' student anywhere else. Well, not anymore. The next Bill Gates could come from Malawi instead of silicon valley.

Now it's what you know that matters, more than who you are. The issue of Race was artifice from the start. Now it's totally irrelevant.

Of course, I meant, anyone with a computer can compete on equal footing.

You're new here, aren't you? I mean, I like the fresh approach and everything, but there's every bit as much racial hate on the web as there is anywhere else. Maybe even more since so many chicken-s#it bigots are hiding behind their computers and fake identities, spouting hate without having someone immediately punch their little lights out.
Good thought, though.
Now see it through and support education so everyone can really have a chance.

Not so much any more .... but even with upgrade communications we are still cluttered with enormous numbers of ignorant bubble heads that still don't get it and the internet is still not the cure for the criminal mind either....I used to be as idealistic as you.....
