The last time I went with my friend I was 14 and people seemed to think we were way too old, but I've read about people older than that going trick-or-treating in books.
(It was funny, really, the last time I went. I was wearing my pagaent dress as a princess and my friend was a vampire with an afro, basically. We were both wearing masks and these people thought my friend was a guy. They asked us if it was our first date. She took her mask off after that.)
So whatcha think? How old is TOO old?
(And please don't be a smart allek)
:-)

Involving the Christian guidelines for violence, I received many answers and no two were alike. This leads me to believe that christianity is very open to interpretation, and that no two Christians are alike in their belief. So, would that mean that only one Christian is right, or that part of your religion is a unique relationshp with the text?

A recent survey commisioned by the Institute of Obesity in Paris concluded that fatties like to fly more than most people because they can fill their faces with donuts and suchlike whilst abroad- thus keeping their anonymity.

I dont mind this but I resent having to sit next to them on a plane in this current climate of fearful flying?

I dont mind gay people though as they are always willing to advise on Feng Shui. Any advice for dealing with my fears?

I heard that a few schools here in Texas were allowing religion classes as an elective. Some schools were teaching predominatly christian perspectives and were being critized, but in some schools they where teaching about all sorts of different religions. Just wondering if anyone out there took one of these classes in High School and what you were taught? Was it just from a christian perspective? Or was it a range of perspectives?

NO MEN! Seriously, men answering this question, is like having a man answering questions about being pregnant. I'm not saying that you can't answer and give insight, but it's just not the same, okay? Don't worry, I'm sure I'll have men only questions too :o)

Hello all,
I just had a question about something that I saw on the Tyra Banks Show (no I don't get my religious education on talk shows, but the woman did say something that sparked my interest). Anyway, it was the show on "Race Issues" and they had some Muslimahs up there talking about the hijab and one of the women said (okay, I know it's not an exact quote, but it's pretty darn close) "The hijab is not just a peace of cloth, it's a lifestyle." I thought this quote was very interesting. What does it mean?

Seriously, no men please. I really don't think that you could give a full anwer to what the hijab is and what it means to you, since you don't wear it.
Thank you for your answers. I look forward to reading them all!

Religion is simply a code of beliefs that are passionately held. Look it up in the dictionary.

Tell me then, is a wacko leftist idealogue who believe the world should be X and Y any less religious than an Islamists who believe the world should be run by Islamic law?

We have everything in common, similar interests, similar faith, but there's an age gap. We don't see age as a barrier. People think we're close to each others ages. Just want some thoughts.

Sometimes we walk out the closet, sometimes we fall out, but most all gay people come out at some point and get mixed reactions from whom they tell. Tell everyone about your "comming out" and if it was easy or hard and how that person reacted.

Hhumans need to categorize all things, as a way of understanding. This is our basic instinct to separate into good and evil.
I say they are non-existent, as they are adjectives. We personify them into others' actions and thoughts, thus making them appear as nouns, as a way to segment who and what we want to side with and who we need to alienate.

It is a primal need and one we should learn to better understand.

Ok, I know what the Rapture is supposed to be, but I have a question. It concerns those bumper stickers, "When the Rapture comes, this car will be unmanned." If the Rapture is true, wouldn't that put you out of the running? After all, you're saying that you know you're better then everyone, and isn't that God's call?

For the record, I'm Catholic and don't believe in the Rapture, but I've always wondered about those bumber stickers. An honest answer, please. Thanks.

Sometimes I try to think of my place in the world in terms of "what if I was the only person here." It helps me brush off other peoples' influence. But really there are a whole lot of other enlightened people out there (vain thing to say, I know). I should, perhaps, consider them in my worldview and try to block out just the block-heads. Could a community of intelligent, similar-minded people be a more meaningful thing on this desert-planet than just the naked fact of life happening, for a time, in this place? Could a group-understanding of the condition of life actually mean something in itself, more than the essentially meaningless existence of us all? Aaaaaand....would it be meaningful even if "we" are similarly wrong?
