The last time I went with my friend I was 14 and people seemed to think we were way too old, but I've read about people older than that going trick-or-treating in books.
(It was funny, really, the last time I went. I was wearing my pagaent dress as a princess and my friend was a vampire with an afro, basically. We were both wearing masks and these people thought my friend was a guy. They asked us if it was our first date. She took her mask off after that.)
So whatcha think? How old is TOO old?
(And please don't be a smart allek)
:-)

I LOVE TRICK OR TREATING and I will never stop. You should stop tricker treating when you are too old to walk, I don't care how geeky I look, YAY GEEKS!!!☻

It depends as how your community responds to you. If other 14-year-olds go out, then it's okay. I stopped about the 7th grade, but my friends and I went out when were were 17 one last time. (We all looked very young for our ages, and we had dressed up in real costumes.)

I think the opposition of older kids trick-or-treating stems from the older kids not really dressing up. They will wear a mask with normal clothes (the same mask every year) just to get candy. If you wear a costume, I think it's okay. It's especially okay if you take younger children with you.

I think 13 or 14 is about it! After that i think it's to old to go trick or treating! Teens 15 and up should go to dances at there schools or have there own Halloween parties!

To me it's around 13-14 years old - at that point, a halloween party with friends would be more appropriate.

I would say that if more than 25% of the houses you visited said you were too old or made some comment like that, then it's time to give it up.

Go as long as you are comfortable going. Look at it as free candy. I have had friends in high school at still go and they really enjoy it. Make it were a few friends go and just have a good time no matter what you do.

Or: you could spend the night with friends and watch spooky movies

Basically just have fun. You are young and should make sure to take advantage the free time you have.

I think 13 is the limit. Trick or treating is for youngsters. It drives most people nuts when teenagers show up at the door for candy..and most of them dont even bother with a costume! LOL

Anymore I don't know if age matters but the costume does. When you get older say 14 on better have a decent costume or it becomes pretty lame. Need to get in the spirit of it all. Heck, I would love to see a couple of elderly folks decked out in great costumes come knocking on my door.

Hm...How old is too old? Well I think it would be sorta creepy if a 17 year old comes knocking on your door, asking for candy. But I'd say 16 would be the oldest. But thats just my oppinion.

i think trick-or-treating in for kids period. At least 3-10 maybe being so old is taking the joy out of the event. maybe next u can take someone instead of u actually doing the trick-or-treating.
