A. Wash the pots.
Tidying up is pretty easy, but the last thing your wife is going to want to do is wash smelly dishes. Take her to the pub, so when she gets home she won't notice the general clutter. Tell her you did the dishes, and have a fun night.

If you don't tidy up will you get rolling-pinned? if yes better wash up, tidy up, and probably get extra points by being there witha big welcoming smile on your face, but maybe that's pushing it a bit far? Or go to the pub and come home armed with a box of chocs :-)

If she left because of something you did, then clean up quick, order pizza and head out a buy her favorite booze. Sit with her and get her hammered and take her out dancing.
If she left because she's out getting can-tankered herself, put the pots in to soak, get your underwear off the floor and go get sloshed at the pub.
If these scenarios are a non-match, then start drinking while you get your tidying done, scrawl a message to her on the board or piece of paper, call a cab or friend, and GIT ER DUN! I call that multi-tasking.

I'd get in the shower and take a good scrub, then pile on the deodorant and after shave. Change the sheets, of course. Have something cooking. Then wash the pots and tidy up. She will love you for it. You do want to be married to this woman for a long time, don't you?

I think that if you wash the pots and tidy up you might get some tonight. And if you don't she will thank you a lot and it might add to your chances of getting some sooner. Plus how long does it really take to clean up a house, it can't take long. I know the dishes don't normally take longer then 7 minutes to do. Plus why should she have to clean up a mess that she didn't even make. Would you normally clean up a mess you didn't make? Good luck.

Well, she is the one who has been on holiday, so I would leave the pots and tidying up and go to the pub and enjoy yourself. That's what she has been doing .

If your wife has just been stuck on a flight for goodness knows how long it may be worth your time to try and make it look like you've done something to help or she could make your life hell for a while (or you could nip to the pub 4 a bit and then dash home when shes due to greet her?).
