I think that it should not have been opened and been tore down and a memorial put up for those who suffered and died in Katrina.It may have costed the owners to do that,but Katrina was just as devistating as 911 was why do they not have a memorial devoted to them?I was outraged to find out that they same place that so many people suffered was cleaned to reopen for games when alot of New orleans was still destroyed and nothing done toward the clean up there and still many are homeless or displaced and would like to return home.How do you feel about this?All comments are welcome,but please give sensitivity to the ones who were affected by this and keep your comments to the point.If you have nothing postive to say don't comment please.

Do you see other people in the age group of say 12-20 to be arrogant and disrespectful or am I just getting old. It is very rare that I see a child/teen/ young adult these days that use manners or have morals. Hopefully I just live in the wrong area. However, I live in a tourest community and see people from all over the country. Please help me understand.

In physics they say we are 99.9% empty space.

In Buddhism, it is taught that all things are ‘empty’, but they say that this emptiness is not nothingness. Buddhist teachings also say this is an extremely important concept.

My problem is that I don’t get it.

I think it means, in Buddhism, that this ‘empty space’ freely interacts among all things. That you essentially cannot separate objects (more importantly living things) at this level. But I may be totally wrong, and/or incomplete in my understanding.

Any thoughts? Scientists? Theists? Any other religions talk about this? How?

The Bible and other text was written at a time when Science was just being discovered. Early on it was held back because it was saying something that religion wasn't. So why do we still hang on to these beliefs that are so old?

It seems that most, if not all, religions are STUCK in the past. Forcing it's believers to think like those who lived 2 millienia ago. Does this sound very reasonable? I don't understand it.

I guess the next question I should ask is, which would you choose? A doctor of today or a doctor of 2,000 years ago. Think about it.
