The legends of creation from the Ancient Egyptians are quite similar to the Christian version.

In the beginning was the void and Chaos emerged from the void. It is from the fibers of Chaos that our world and everything in it was formed. At the Dawn of Time, the barque of the Great God Ra arose from the primordial waters. The Great Goddess Ma’at and the Grand Vizier Thoth were at his side.

These three Mighty Gods formed from the Chaos the Two Lands, the great River and everything within them. Ra thought of the forms and attributes of each creation, and Thoth spoke them into being. Ma’at gave each creation order and a sense of Justice. The Children of Ra formed our world.

Nut formed the sky and Geb formed the Earth
With Shu, as the air, separating the two. Tefnut formed the sunlight which flows from the barque of Ra, And Tem made the great river to flow through the Two Lands of Kemet. From these Great Gods came Osiris, Isis, Nephthys, Set, Horus the Elder, and all the other Gods and Goddesses. Then Man was formed to serve and to worship the Great Gods.

There is also the story of two brothers. One was jealous of the other and killed him. Sound familiar? this is not Cain and Abel, this is the Gods Osiris and Set.

There are also stories of the Goddesses Hathor and Sekhmet attempting to destroy the world and mankind, and the annual flooding of the Nile is similar to Noah's flood, without the death of everyone.

You can find similar creation stories as well as other similar legends in every religion that has ever been on this world.

Creation myths...
Some of the similiarities...
Something from nothing
Something from an element (all water, all earth, etc.)
Often times associated with a body (body of Gaia, body of Ymir)
Usually a trial or task that has to be accomplished by a hero, or trickster.
Usually the first man and first woman are created shortly there after. Usually the pantheons great players are established (Zeus, Hades, Posiedon)
Usually there is a duality (sky is father, earth, mother) but the linkage to elements depends on the culture.
Usually a long time passes, and something suddenly occurs (in 7 days, etc.)
Usually, somebody is upset about something (death, stealing, etc.)
In most cases where there is a creation myth, there will be an end-time myth as well (Ragnarok, Armeggedon, and so on)

Several creation myths involve a Great Flood of some kind. To find out more I would suggest the fantastic website www.religioustolerance.org.

A good "similarity" point would be the creation, destruction, and subsequent recreation of the world--many cultures have this as part of or shortly after their creation myth. For example, stories of the flooding of the entire world are common.

All these myths go back to the Sumerians around 8,000 years ago. They were first in creating organized religion, and all today's myths can be traced back to that.
Stupidity reigns supreme.

try googling or going to ask.com and typing in "creation myths". Not every culture has the same myth. It is really very interesting.

well, i'd say most myths have creation from dirt or climbing out of a hole in the ground. a few are water based, and a few fire based, but most in my experience are dirt based.

major similarity is the presence of deity. even in the bible, God created everything. in other cultures, it is also like that except that the manner of creating the world is different.

another similarity is that God is lonely and wants company so God created men.
