I only would now that I've found someone. Before I found her I would have wanted to be straight.
I don't thing there's any wrong answer, I'm just interested.
And being gay ISN'T a choice before you stupid people come in here and tell me it is. Get over it and yourself. No one cares. At least, no one worth knowing cares.

Shut up about hell. Seriously, I'm sick of it. I don't want to be there, of course, because I don't want to see YOU there Mr/Mrs. High-and-Mighty. Yes, if there is a hell, I will see you there.

Honey great question! If it were a choice, I'd stay just the way I am. Eventhough I bet life would be just a little easier straight, I have a great life as a gay man and couldn't see myself any other way.

Lol! I like your little Nine Inch Nails line at the end in the additional details (if you have no idea what I'm talking about, forget it)... but ANYWAY... back to the question. If being gay were a choice.. well, it doesn't really matter to me since I'm already omnisexual. Hehe. I get the best of all worlds! But if I had a choice between being a full-out lesbian or changing genders and being gay, I think I'd choose becoming gay cuz I'd want to be one of the hot gay guys I always drool over! Yes, I would have a Narcissus complex, I'm aware. But... since I believe in reincarnation (that's right... an atheist who believes in reincarnation!), I believe I'll eventually have a chance to be a guy anyway, so I can wait! For now, I'm just enjoying my life as an omni. *smiles*

if being gay were a choice I'd have turned my back and run at a quick pace. I wouldn't have had to face the ignorance and fear that we still see even in this day and age...I would not have to sit back and listen to the government trying to decide whether or not gay marriage should be legal... what happens in MY bedroom is my business. I hate the use of religion as an excuse for bashing gay people.... yes I would have run the other way... but I am who I am... I don't boast that I'm gay... as I said what happens in my bedroom is my business, but at the same time I like who I am as a whole, complete and good person... there are other things in my life that I would have loved to turn and run in the other direction from too, but what doesn't kill us makes us stronger.

to this point as my constrained information is going, i presumed scientists have been finding that homosexuality isn't genetic, yet a effect of hormones interior the mummy's womb affecting a newborn's neurochemical progression. back although, that's extremely not the controversy. human beings constantly assume that proving homosexuality is organic will rigidity non secular human beings to furnish in and settle for it, in spite of if it won't. on the tip of the day, a guy or woman can choose for who to sleep with, or to no longer sleep with every physique in any respect. i think of Jesus taught that celibacy grew to become into the appropriate. the controversy that ought to be fought is not any count if homosexuality is a nasty element or no longer one among those vast deal. enable non secular nutjobs attempt to "tutor" how undesirable being gay is. Then youthful and sensible and freedom-loving human beings will see what morons they are.

If it's not a choice then how do you know that you would have wanted to be straight before you found someone? There is nothing wrong with being gay period but don't start talking in circles to get your point across. you are either gay or you aren't!

Since it isn't a choice, I've never really thought about it, but, given the Society in which we live, my life would have been a lot easier if I'd been totally straight. On the other hand, if I could choose to change, I would not. It took a while, but I am comfortable with who I am, as I've quoted before: "...since it is me, I will neither deny nor apologize for it."

I really love my life when it's just us at home, or with other gay friends. But, if I had the choice I would be straight. I love my partner very much, but it hurts to be discriminated against. I hate that she is discriminated against. If she is hurt, I am too. Straight people are mean, but we'll never totally beat them, so I guess if I could I would join them.
The thought of that just sicks me out actually. But being straight seems much easier. OK, I change my mind, that's just nasty. Sorry guys. No offense! lol

If being straight were a choice would you be straight?
Come on, love yourself for who you are not for a choice you could make.
We were all brainwashed into being straight with the white picket fence, 3 bedroom house, 2.5 bath and 2 kids. GET REAL
I AM HAPPY NOT DEPRESSED!

Well...this is a tough question. I like men. You'd essentially be asking me if I'd like to stop enjoying being with and being attracted to men. No. Maybe if I was a woman, it'd be easier. I don't consider myself a transsexual or anything, but....like I said, it'd make being straight easier. I dunno. Women have it tought too, so I'm not saying it's easier to be a woman than a man, but I think CERTAIN things like acceptance would be easier as a straight woman, or even a lesbian, than being a gay man. It's tough. It's a double edged sword I suppose.

IN a heartbeat. I would also choose to stand up and recognize myself for who I am a lot sooner in life. I have had more fun, been healthier, and just all around had a better life since I came out and especially since I found that right person for me. I no longer second guess every decision, nad am loving life to the fullest.
