If I recall we fast on days of great tragedy in history's past. So why don't we fast on 9-11? I did, it just seemed right.

I have been busy the last few days and have obviously missed a lot of the news. I did cringe when I heard what the pope said, but now on here this morning is talk of fatwas ( what are they). and burning flags and effigies. Muslims say bad things about christians and christians say bad things about Muslims.

Cant we live and let live, is that to much to ask

Both sides of the arguments would be appreciated so I can make an educated and not bias opinion on the matter.

I'm talking about the fact that a women at birth bassicly is a burden,unlike a man.
i'm talking about ..that she must always obey the man,no education,no going out without permission.
I'm talking about "the crime of honour"...if a man kills the wife and says it was a crime of honour.....he doesn't get punished.!
i wanna know...how is that possible in the 21 century!

The first creatonist who explains to me what evolution is accurately AND shows me what evidence there is for it, will get 10 easy points. You can feel free to tell me why you don't think this evidence is real or blah blah blah, but you MUST cite REAL dated evidence there is (by scientific standards). If you don't know too well what evolution is, investigate it before posting. I don't want to see things like "GOD IS THE EVIDENCE" or "WE DIDNT COME FROM MONKEYS." I would really like to see if there is at least one creationist who understands what it is and understand why s/he disagrees.

Don't try to cheat this one, for I'll look back into your posts and see if you really are a creationist and not some opportunist.

why should i have to stand by and let my children learn that junk, when there is no proof of that and i grant u there isn't no proof of God either , why can't they teach both at least? i mean there really isn't that much difference, they are both based on faith, and for those of u that say evolution is a fact then how come u can't provide proof other than scientists say so. or fossils which i might add there is a very big gap in the fossil "evidence" but i can't really get into that on here, but it basically boils down to the scientists has to first start out guessing everything way back when.

The pope refered to comments made by historical figures and other popes in the past , such comments had negative things to say about the prophet of islam and about the islamic faith. What if the pope refered to the hundereds of hostile remarks about the jews made by so many popes several centuries ago . Would that be anti semetic behaviour , or a an action of hatered and it would require a t least a smiliar fuzz as that made in response to the comments made by mel gibson? or would it all be a matter of freedom of speech?

Im planning for a fieldwork (historical trail) with 20 trainee teachers. We will be on foot around the Padang area and visit monuments like Civilian War Memorial, City Hall Building, Victoria Concert Hall, Old Parliament House, Lim Bo Seng Monument and Cenotaph. Where can i shift these 20 people in case it suddenly rain during our trail. I've checked that there are no shelter to move from one site/monument to another. Please advise

I havent prayed in a long time...and i was wondering if i were to start to again will it help me...b.c. lately my boyfriemd has been really grouchy and doesnt want to talk about me and his relationship like i would like to...and when i ask him he keeps saying i dont know when...and all..i really want me and him to work...so i have been praying to God for help ..so do you think praying is a good start to help mine and his relationship??...and does praying work if you havent prayed in a long time?

I see muslims on the board trying hard to seperate themselves from the islamic terrorists. Isn't a muslim one who follows the quran? And what is written in the quran things about terrorising people to convert them! I guess the one's that claim to be original muslims are not "Good muslims"! Atleast not in the eyes of allah if you don't kill in the name of islam.
So stop thinking the world does not understand you there can be no dialogue without a ceasefire on terrorism propagated by islam!
