Sounds like too facile an explanation, don't you think?
Why don't you read up on your Sartre and Camus?

Original sin is a lie!
Read Ezekiel 18.
Eze 18:1 A message came to me from the LORD. He said,
Eze 18:2 “You people have a proverb about the land of Israel. What do you mean by it? It says, “‘The parents eat sour grapes. But the children have a bitter taste in their mouths.’
Eze 18:3 “You will not use that proverb in Israel anymore,” announces the LORD and King. “And that is just as sure as I am alive.
Eze 18:4 Everyone belongs to me. Father and son alike belong to me. People will die because of their own sins.
...
Eze 18:19 “But you still ask, ‘Is the son guilty along with his father?’ No! The son did what was fair and right. He was careful to keep all of my rules. So you can be sure he will live.

I don't think you got it right. I think the concept of original sin is so people don't think they are better than each other. It gives us a common bond with each other, a common responsibility to our fellow man. As sinners we must remember when we judge each other, we too are guilty of one thing or another, and we must learn to forgive each other as we wish others would forgive us In this way will we move on in a more peacefull world. All God asks that we sin no more. Original sin is not meant to doom men but something to learn from, the wage from sin is death. A price that Jesus came to pay for us,he died for the sins of the world. He asks us to take another path, one of love.

What is that anyway? Is it when Eve ate the apple or whatever? There's multiple causes for various problems in the world. It's retarded to think that one thing would cause ALL the problems in the world.

Yes - we deserve everything that's happening, old age, death, misery, disease, even labour pains, because a man and woman listened to a talking snake and ate some fruit six thousand years ago.
It's so logical, how can you have any problems with that?

Don't think so. IMO, it's probably more like greed, hunger for power and the need of some people to have control over others.
Then of course, there's "Jihad"????????????/
And, a US president who seems to have a sick preoccupation with the torture of others.

No, but it's a handy explanation if you want to deny culpability for any of your own problems though, isn't it?
