The first creatonist who explains to me what evolution is accurately AND shows me what evidence there is for it, will get 10 easy points. You can feel free to tell me why you don't think this evidence is real or blah blah blah, but you MUST cite REAL dated evidence there is (by scientific standards). If you don't know too well what evolution is, investigate it before posting. I don't want to see things like "GOD IS THE EVIDENCE" or "WE DIDNT COME FROM MONKEYS." I would really like to see if there is at least one creationist who understands what it is and understand why s/he disagrees.

Don't try to cheat this one, for I'll look back into your posts and see if you really are a creationist and not some opportunist.

Dude, your question isn't very popular. Shame, because I wanted to find out more about evolution. I know the basics, and that's mostly the Big Bang, and not the creation (i don't mean this in a religious sense) of our planet. Do you happen to know any good books regarding evolution, for people who don't study hard core physics or biology?

P.S. I LOVE shopping for science books! In most of the book shops I've ever been to, the Science section is right next to the Religion section, so it's awesome when I open my science books and give the religious people dodgy looks!

I'll try. I'm game. ha, ha.
Here goes:

Evolution is a theory that the first living organism developed from lifeless matter. Then, as it reproduced, it changed into different kinds of living things, ultimately producing all forms of plant and animal life that have ever existed on this earth. This is said to have been accomplished without the supernatural intervention of a Creator.

Some have tried to amagamate evolution and creation endeavoring to blend belief in God with evolution. Saying that God created by this means, and brought into existence the first primitive life forms and that then higher life forms, including man, were produced.

WHY I DON'T "BUY" THE CONCEPT / THEORY?

I believe in the scientific method for establishing facts:

Observe what happens; based on those observations, form a theory as to what may be true; test the theory by further observations and by experiments; and watch to see if the predictions based on the theory are fulfilled.

Many of those who advocate evolution have ageed there is no proof and that it indeed is just a theory.
The fossil record shows the convergence of many life forms simultaneously rather than through developement.
Mutations are... mutations. Call that evolution if you want but it isn't. It's an adapting to the environment, not changing species.

Quite frankly:
I find the theory of evolution unscientific.

Hello!! :o) The term 'evolution' does not mean 'big bang theory'. But I think a lot of people assume that's what it means. And because that's what many believe - a lot of us get all wrapped up in the notion that one can ONLY BE a 'creationist' OR an 'evolutionist'. I say that's not true. THINGS evolve all the time. A couple has sex. An egg is fertilized. The egg evolves into a fetus. The fetus becomes a baby. The baby becomes a child. The child becomes a teenager. The teenager becomes an adult. Our very LIVES are a testament to 'evolution'. I am a Christian. I believe that God created the world and everything on it. [Including us] But that doesn't mean that I can't accept that 'things' [including ourselves - once again] don't 'evolve'. Consider viruses. Many have become resistant to the very antibiotics that once wiped them out. It's quite obvious [to me - at least] that viruses evolve. The 'creationist' vs 'evolutionist' argument is based more on semantics than on anything else. It is silly - I think - for a 'creationist' to dismiss the idea that things evolve just as I think it's silly for an 'evolutionist' to dismiss the possibility that all that we know WAS once created by a 'power' greater than ourselves. Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

First of all there is a type of evolution but not in the sence your asking but I will address that too, the kind there really is, is through time from a billion years ago till now the earth is evolving and changing slightly all the time, Now the kind your asking about, Not possible because if it were a law of the earth or a principle of the universee, than things would still be changing, monkeys are not changing into humans anymore are they??No, they never were, the universe is a design and the scientist see and know that the workings of just the sun and moon and stars is a design so complex that it could not be random, down to DNA, design says designer! Now when you get to the designer that when it gets Good, he left his word for you to know him and in it it talks about black holes, and all the secrets of creation, now back in those days nobody was aware of black holes, we just discovered them and its in the bible, why because the designer put it there because he designed black holes and all our souls. It is written! And that's the way its going down!

Anyone who doesn't believe in evolution, doesn't understand it. Good luck with getting an answer on this one. Or at least a relevant answer.

Just came back to check on the progress. Told you. "monkeys aren't evolving into humans anymore..." Good grief.

This will be like going to a kindergarten class and saying, "Okay, the first person to solve this geometry proof gets ten points." Could be a long wait.

before i answer that, i would like to meet the scientist who was there to see the big bang and evolution happen.
You wanna go by science books, i'll go by the bible.
science books made by knowledge of men, the bible is the word of God<---who has revealed Himself to me, and not brainwashed by man's thinking. :)
