YES YES YES!!! I mean I support charities, am a good person yet they stand there and make me feel so guilty. I mean they must be cold...cant they go to a shelter and have some sort of PR campaign, like a leaflet shoved through doors...
I mean I have somewhere to go, "Big Issue madam"...and then you get "OK, have a nice day"...
which makes you feel like a complete *****.
Yes a good cause but extremely irritating!!!

Of course it's a good cause and of course some of them may act rather too enthusiastically at times perhaps but most of the ones here (Manchester) are ok and don't hassle people too much.
What annoys me more are the so-called beggars, especially the ones who plonk themselves right on top of or near an ATM machine, as if to say to people, "NOW tell me you ain't got any money coz I just saw you take some out!" and I think that stinks to be honest.
Also if anyone saw the first episode of the new series of Skint the other night, what do people think of that guy who uses the fact people recognise him from the show to help his begging? To be fair he plays the guitar so it's busking really but he makes around £30 in one night - more than *I* get to spend in TWO WEEKS after I've paid my bills and he recons he's skint? Argh!!!!!

I would rather face a big issue seller than the latter option.. it depends on the person, most big issue sellers are polite and if you say no thanks, that's it they say nothing else.. if you have a problem with a specific one or want to comment - contact the big issues office in your area, they will check it out.. why are they annoying? better selling the big issue than those sitting at cashpoints begging (some of whom are not homeless or on their *** but are con men or even students at times..) dont buy from them unless they have their id cards from the big issue organisation.

If yoiu read the 15th anniversary issue you would see how Big Issue selling has allowed people to get off the streets into good jobs. Big Issue is a good scheme and I whole heartedly support it.

Junkie filth. God put devils in their hearts and struck them down low. I support the homeless when the chicks are hot, and will do anything for money.
