Do you believe it is possible to communicate effectively with the God Who Reigns Supreme Over All without going to church or being led by pastors, priests or any other religious leaders?

Do you believe we have an infinitely wise God Who has preprogrammed us to know all we need to know about Him and do all He expects of us?

Do you believe the teachings attributed to Jesus, for the most part are very powerful and worthy of emulation but he is not a Deity and that the Bible is a phenomenal teaching tool but was not intended to be taken literally?

Can we not just accept that some people don't believe and don't have faith and let it be. I don't like trying to be converted all the time and being called a bad person because I don't believe. The real question is if I don't believe, what am I supposed to do to change that? I'm not seeing any visions or lightning bolts. I've been to church, I've read the bible, and it's not happening. Don't give me that open your heart or let God find you stuff. What does that even mean? Speak in real terms with real answers.

i just cant understand how using a random book (the bible), your faith, and the fact that JC is your lord/savior is gonna justify Christianity. stop using those things to show me and show me something else.

keep getting convicted of inappropriate sexual conduct with young boys (yet not deemed a sexual predator or pedaphile), why is the church so against homosexuals?

that seems to be creeping into some Church of England Services.
I bet it's American in origin - which is I suppose a touch ironic. I attended a service on the Isle of Wight and they all began giving each other the peace. I could feel that the look of horror that must have been on my face as they attempted ritually to shake my hand was a good deterrent to all but the most determined of the peace givers.

We all know that there are scientific findings that contradict the literal word of the Bible. We also know that there are Christians out there that just ignore anything contradictory that science has to say.

I am interested in hearing from Christians who do not reject science, and how they do not let this get in the way of God. Do you take the entire Bible as symbolism? Do you only take those parts described differently by science as symbolism, and the rest literally? How do you respond to accusations that you are not a true Christian for trusting in what science has to offer? Is there anything that you think is wrong with, or reject, from either science or organized Christianity?

Please no lectures on either the Biblical or scientific creed; I am already very familiar with both. This is something I am genuinely curious about: serious and thoughtful answers only.

there are a few people who think because their ancestores were slaves that the entire white race of today should be held responsible. my ancestors were not involved in the slave trade and never owned any slaves. so why should i be condemed for slavery? or is this just reverse racism?

When one dies and goes to heaven, it is said that they will live the rest of their days in happiness with no more pain and suffering to deal with. FOREVER.

Well, forever is a very long time.

Ok. First of all, neither God nor Jesus was happy all the time. Obviously angels aren't happy all the time either or a third of the population of heaven wouldn't have wanted to revolt against the guy. Lucifer obviously wasn't happy there. There are many people who love people who aren't Christians and therefore would spend the rest of eternity without this person that obviously brings them (but not God) joy.

So I ask you. Is it really possible for Christians that die to be ETERNALLY happy in heaven without a care or an idea of pain?

PS. If Pain and Suffering are the things that really make us appreciate joy and happiness, would those emotions really mean anything to us if we could have them all the time and never lacked them???

Do you ever question your beliefs? Have you looked for "answers" in sources other than your Bible, your church, or your parents?

Thanks, in advance, for your responses.

If prostitutes break the law by having sex for money, why aren't porn film stars also breaking the law by doing what is essentially the same thing? Furthermore, if the fact that the porn stars are being filmed while having sex for money is what excuses them from being arrested, couldn't prostitutes also film themselves at work as a way of avoiding arrest?

153. The People of the Scripture ask of thee that thou shouldst cause an (actual) Book to descend upon them from
heaven. They asked a greater thing of Moses aforetime, for they said: Show us Allah plainly. The storm of lightning
seized them for their wickedness. Then (even after that) they chose the calf (for worship) after clear proofs (of Allah's
Sovereignty) had come unto them. And We forgave them that! And We bestowed on Moses evident authority.
154. And We caused the Mount to tower above them at (the taking of) their covenant: and We bade them: Enter the
gate, prostrate! and we bade them : Transgress not the Sabbath! and We took from them a firm covenant.
155. Then because of their breaking of their covenant, and their disbelieving in the revelations of Allah, and their
slaying of the Prophets wrongfully, and their saying: Our hearts are hardened Nay, but Allah hath set a seal upon them
for their disbelief, so that they believe not save a few
156. And because of their disbelief and of their speaking against Mary a tremendous calumny;
157. And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah Jesus son of Mary, Allah's messenger They slew him not nor
crucified, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no
knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture ; they slew him not for certain,
158. But Allah took him up unto Himself. Allah was ever Mighty, wise.
159. There is not one of the People of the Scripture but will believe in him before his death, and on the Day of
Resurrection he will be a witness against them
160. Because of the wrongdoing of the Jews We forbade them good things which were (before) made lawful unto them,
and because of their much hindering from Allah's way,
161. And of their taking usury when they were forbidden it, and of their devouring people's wealth by false pretences.
We have prepared for those of them who disbelieve a painful doom.
