I've heard a lot of name calling/bible bashing on this site. The most prodominat I've seen is this idea that "Christianity has been falsified by science." I for one think this is rediculous as I see no aparent conflict between the big bang and disregard evolution as already proven like most real scientist do today.

But what if science ever did find a scientific theory that "proved" God doesn't exist? Would it really matter? Does science really have that high of a credibility.

I don't think people realize the degree of uncertainty that comes with science. Newton's three laws of motion have been systematically dismantled as an incomplete and incorrect view of the universe. Now Quantum physics reigns supreme, but for how long? Does it not scare you to put so much faith in something so uncertain?

Why do so many Christians have this strange NEED for the Bible to be literally true? The Bible is full of metaphores and stories that teach you important things. By taking the stories as literal truths you are missing the lessons that they are trying to teach.

Not to mention that unless you believe that your God created the entire universe in six twenty-four hour days (which is silly, how long would a day be to an omnipotent being? As long as He wants it to be) there really isn't any clash between the theory of evolution and the Biblical creation story. I mean, science has even found that animals evolved in about the same way that they are mentioned in the Christian creation story.

So you have a problem with the idea that humans weren't created looking just as you do now, right? How dare someone say your ancester might be a "dirty ape"! Does it make you any less a child of God if He made our race from dust or from primates?

Why do you want your religion taught in a science class?

I had to lie about my sexual orientation to my husband's sister who found my "bi" wording in a profile I had online. I told her I had accidentally hit the wrong button, mismarking Bi. I am married. I am straight now. I have not always been straight. His family is ok but his sister (the one closest to him) is so possessive and she's always looking for something negative about me to pin on me. Last night, I got this letter from her asking me if I was bi or if it was accidental on a myspace profile. I told her it was accidental. Her family is so judgemental. What would you have done? Do you think I did the right thing? Why is she always looking for something negative about me to bring into the picture, rather than something good? It seems I've got a long life history of this with my own mother...and I can not handle it at this stage in my life. I'm 41. She's 41. It's very frustrating to be treated this way at our age...and my husband, of course, is on his family's side.

OK, if God exists, and God creates this flood that kills everything but what Noah had 2 of. This Flood kills pregnant woman and unborn fetus's to wipe out evil. God does this but lets animals and others survive on Noah's ark. This was God's plan to wipe out evil?

God's flood did not wipe out evil. This is evident as all Christian's claim there is to much evil.

CONCLUSION - God Failed to Achieve his goal thus if God existed, God would be a failure!
And if God can't wipe out evil, Then Evil most be more powerful then God?

My dad has abandoned us and I left college to work to pay the bills. And I feel like I don't have the time for myself anymore or even think about the future at all. I want to do better in life but its pretty hard.

Friends are getting married and the reception is listed as "adult reception at 6:00 p.m." What should I wear? The same outfit that I wore to the wedding earlier in the day? Khakis and a blouse?
