Well try this, if this 'god' was all-knowing and all-present 'he' would've known before 'he' (supposedly) created the universe that all the people will be evil and will need to be destroyed except Noah and his family.
So, why did 'he' not just start creating the human race with Noah instead of Adam (which he knew would eat the forbidden fruit and etc.)
The story makes no sense and the only argument Christians can come up with is: "if you don't believe it you will have everlasting suffering in a place called hell which the same illogical book made up. (well actually there's not that much about hell in the bible and Jews don't even believe in it There is reason to believe that they stole the concept from Greek philosophy e.g. Hades)

First of all, not all of mankind was killed in the great flood. There are stories handed down all over the world about a flood that destroyed much of the earth, and what happened to the "SURVIVORS". And "god" provided Noah with a navigator; why? Geological findings have shown that the great flood was cause by a huge title wave that occurred when the ice shelf that sits on top of Antarctica became unstable and slipped into the ocean. The entire region where Noah lived was flooded, but other areas of the world only had minor flooding. Noah didn't take the actual animals on board, but their "essence"; DNA. The only actual animals were sheep and goats for their own use.

G-d gave the man so many opportunities to repent, he even asked Noah to build his ark outside so everyone will see what he is doing and understand that it was actually going to happen. When the people didn't repent G-d was sorry he ever created men on earth and he wiped them all out (except of Noah that behaved correctly and had a grace in front of the eyes of g-d). Sure G-d didn't wipe out all evil because then were would be the human right to choose between good and Evil if there wasn't any evil?

If you go back a little before the flood and read Genesis 6:1-6, you will see in verse 5 that it talks about how "sons of God" had children with the "women of men". In the New Testament books of Jude and 2 Peter, this is explain further as fallen angels (or demons) who began to mate with human females. The results was a race that was not only morally evil, but genetical "evil" as well. It threaten to destroy the entire human race. The ONLY family that God was able to find that was both morally and genetically pure was the family of Noah.
So rather than let disease, physical deformity, retardation, and more plague and eventually kill all of mankind anyways, with years of suffering and pain and heartache and sickness along the way, God choose to wipe them all out at once, protecting the one pure humans left so that they did not also die from diseases, etc. and to start over with a healthy and pure genetic strain.
He did accomplish what he set out to do, in that he wiped out the genetic evil that was about to destroy all life on earth and saved the entire human race.

Assuming the mantle of insanity for a moment and assuming that the Flood actually happened, God specifically spoke about man that he "repenteth" humanity's existence. So God decided to flood the world out of pique, essentially. And for just as arbitrary reasons, God had "mercy" on Noah.
Strange though...the Chinese, the Aztecs, the Mayans, and the Mummerians never noticed being drowned in a worldwide flood. I wonder why that is...

I do agree somewhat. The flood didn't really work. Jerks were still created. It's Adam/Eve's fault. As for Evil being more powerful. It's enough to scare me. Also Noah's sons and son's wives went along to . To repopulate them earth.
The book Many Waters by Madlene L'Engle is facinating but it's fiction. I've never heard any references to the nephram or sepharm in the Bible. I read the flood part too. There's nothing in there that refers to those two creatures.I think the Paster would've said something about them it they were acturaly in the Bible.
If the nepharm were imortal like in the fiction book you'd think someone would've spotted one or two by now.

ok, first of all, God is SOOO much more powerful than evil.
God was so mad that mankind could ignore Him and do wrong. So, he flooded the Earth and wiped them all out except Noah and his family because Noah was a righteous man and did what God told him. Even build an ark and even when people were making fun of him.
Animals-what wrong doing did they do? they do what they have to do to survive. just like Christians-we rely on God because thats what everyone can do to survive forever.
you see, you'll live forever no matter what you do. but wether you spend that in glory and happiness or in flame, torcher, sickness, and crying out for all and eternity, thats your choice.

hey bust out your own garden hose and Be the Flood for the ants and bugs...
what does it achieve?
they come back, stronger than ever and thankful for years worth of "rain" and drinking water underground
I think natural floods happen in large cycles and small cycles we see in our lives, like the 2004 Kris Mass Tsunami in Indonesia
mother nature keeps chuggin along, it's the local residents that are out of sync and if they could be more in tune they could predict the timing of such events like Nile river flood, Amazon flood days, etc.
the signs are there...we just so happen to talk about a global one as if it was THE only one..
I doubt it
good, evil? determined by those currently in charge

It was an example to us. We are all evil at the core. Noah, who was considered righteous by God, repopulated the world. And what happened. We got the same sinners as before. This is the whole thing with christianity. You have to get to the point where you realize your offenses to a holy God. No matter how small they seem to you. They are huge to God. When you get to that point of humbleness, God can then work with you. It's when your heart is full of pride, that God won't work with you. Get humble. Get right with God. So He can give you a new heart, with new desires.

All were evil in the sight of God, but Noah found favor in the sight of God.
God did not fail, He was true to His nature.
God's Word says that the wages of sin is death, & that's exactly what happen.
