Adam did NOT marry eve, bunk the song of the voice that breathed. they all incested for centuries, till their societies grew and stabilised. if you are a church go xtian u have got to get married in a church. otherwise the registrar. or a magistrate. even captain of the ship. a paper is a very good idea, but why even a paper , waste? say ur vows and be true. when u come false or die, then the property, the kids, the assets and liabs, then comes the value of a legal marriage.

What do you think the people did before there were churches? In the Old Testament, a man married a woman by extending his clock and covering her with it. This was done in the presence of the tribe.

Today we marry through the civil laws of the land. If you want to marry in a church, you are still required to take out civil documents to validate the marriage.><>

I don't think it says anything in the Bible about where you actually get married. The only "church" in the biblical days was the jewish temple. The first Christians didn't have an organized church.

If you are a Christian you should marry in the church. I personally would not get married w/o Gods help. You'll need it. Marriage is fun an wonderful, but takes a lot of work and faith.

Well i think so but i can't find it but yeah um the reason why we get married in the church is ebcuase it is in God's House, in His presence evnt hough He's eevrywhere. But church is God's House and having a woman and a man married together in His House and presence is the best thing to do.

No you do not have to be married in a church BUT take a look before you dismiss. There are some beautiful sanctuaries with great stained glass windows.

A marriage ceremony in Jesus' day consisted of the young man going to his bride's house.

Escorting her (with his & her family and friends) throughout the streets of their town to his house.

Upon entering his home they were married.

Having said that Jesus and Paul say we have to obey the governments of what ever country / state we live in.

In the United States you need a license signed by someone authorized to preform the wedding, along with 2 witnesses.

obsession0524,
I saw that the church didn't need to be involved with your marriage. You in the old times were married in the tent of your bed. It was so simple then. But if you "belong" to the church, you need to tell them. If you "belong" to God, He saw it coming. It might be good to ask His blessing. That's a difference between "religion" and spirituality. Which do you prefer? The realtionship between yourself and God, or "Religion?"

I would say that as God is omnipotent then it would be ok to marry anywhere but would suggest that a registered priest, pastor, minister etc presided over the proceedings rather than a registrar.

WE ARE TO MARRY but it is better for us to marry one in the church, because life will be better for you if your spouse is a believer to. It does not matter where you get married, I mean the ceremony.
