My dad has abandoned us and I left college to work to pay the bills. And I feel like I don't have the time for myself anymore or even think about the future at all. I want to do better in life but its pretty hard.

Don't you wish God could have given you a better life?

I guess we all try to look for answers for our problems wherever we can find them, even God.

God gave you life through the Love of your parents. So sorry that the marriage did not last and that with them separated , it made you life more difficult. It is then our duty to pick up the pieces and build from there. Yes, the hand of cards that has been delt to you, is unfair. But if your parents can work together, you can still go to college. Even if they are separated. Don't give up. All good things come to those who wait. Plan for later on down the road, by then probably your Mother can help. Jesus never promised us a rose garden. But all of us humans walk through many deep dark valleys and we need to think positive and work hard to climb up out of the valleys into the sunshine. So don't stay in the valley. Work hard and think positive. Many have done it and so can you. Take care and may God bless you, Always !!

I had a tough life growing up too. My dad was very abusive. I think God has a plan for everyone and I think that what we go through here on earth will serve a purpose for that plan later on. A lot of people have it bad. It could be worse. You could have been raped and left for dead. You could have been more mentally challenged. So when you feel like this, think of people that have it worse. That is what I do. Good luck. God Bless.

Sometimes, but then I think about how fortunate I am to have been given this life. I have family and friends who care about me, none of us are hurt or sick, and we're all more or less free. If that doesn't work, then I think about how fortunate I am to be American, because in America, with hard work, I know I can get anywhere. I totally understand what you're saying though. I still have days where I get a little jealous of people who are more privileged than I am, and people with two loving parents, but especially of people with fathers who do things for them. I hope and know it'll get better for you!

God has provided everything for us in this world that we need. We need to claim it...in His name. Your situation wasn't caused by God. It was caused by your earthly father being irresponsible and bailing out. Pray on this. Stop the cycle of self-pity and accept what has happened and move on. God has so much for you, but you have to let go of the pity and bitterness and open your heart, mind and arms to receive it.
