Wow! What a question. Thumbs up on this one. I would have to say I would give up looks. Personality goes a long way. Looks are only skin deep.

The two are linked.

Your personality is affected by how people react to you and how you feel about yourself, and how you look does influence that.

So in you sacrifice your looks, your personality will also change.

If you sacrifice your personality, your looks might not change that much. (Unless you become unhygienic, or a greedy person who can't stop eating...)

So I'd say the choice is not as clear cut as you make it to be.

I guess the answer ultimately depends on your personality.
:)

I would keep my personality since I'm quite happy with it, plus thinking that my looks do not affect it much, and neither do my looks affect how people treat me much (I'm just average looking), so my life experience wouldn't change that much.

It would have to be my looks, every ones go in time and no matter what people say you can never get by on looks alone, personality has always been something I much prefer in people, looks are just surface but a personality goes right to the bones.

I'm already married, so my looks should start to go down hill anyway right? get nice and fat, have some children, grow a beard lol....
Seriously though, I would sacifice my looks and start a phone/ .com company, and work hard every day until I was rich enough to buy my looks back, or pay people to think I was beautiful again.

I would sacrifice looks because they go anyway and really dont say much about a person.

I think in my case looks. Not because I am hideous but personality goes on and is the real beauty of a person whereas looks fade and die

Depends.
Looks may get you through the first door, without which, personality would not have a chance to illustrate the person.
However, a non-visual environment of blind people may reverse the choice.

Well, since my personality sucks anyway...I would have to go with my looks. They're not all that great either, but you have to go with your strong points! LOL. Really... I don't know. That's a tough question. Your looks are the first thing people notice about you. If someone is really shallow, that's all they notice. It takes someone who really cares to spend the time to appreciate your personality.
