Just for fun, me and my cousin went to a rumored "haunted cemetary" about a mile south of our town. This was in 1993, by the way. I was a Freshman in High School that year. We drove up to the cemetary, found a suitable radio station, dug out the cigerettes that we had snuck, and starting talking about guys, etc.. The cemetary was/is fairly old. Some of the oldest graves are from the mid 1800's. Its called Rock Springs and its in Hector, Arkansas. Anyway, we didn't take this at all seriously. After sitting there for about an hour and a half we decided to get out and walk around. We both had small flashlights. About halfway through the cemetary I caught something out of the corner of my eye. I remember being totally freaked out because when I turned around I saw a figure standing back behind our truck. I grabbed my cousin's arm and she saw it, too. It made un-natural looking movements. More of a floating then a walking movement. It seemed to be more interested in our vehicle then us. As it started "floating" away from the truck, we made a mad dash and started the engine! For a split second the truck lights shined on this thing and to this day, I believe it is what most people refer to as a "shadow person". I truely saw this thing and have no desire to see anything else like this ever again.

Hi. One summer my friend (both girls) and I stayed at an old beach house her parents were thinking of buying. They had the use of it and offered it to us to try out. They said it was haunted because a little boy who lived there when it was built in the 1930's drowned and his father died too trying to save him. The mother died in the house from a broken heart only three months later. Anyway, we stayed there and on the first night we heard a loud banging on the front door. We were scared to death but when we got there no one was there. Then we heard loud footsteps upstairs. We got even more scared but again there was nothing there. We slept in the same bed as much as we could but around dawn a strong wind came up and it shook the house so we thought it was moaning. Maybe that was just coincidence and our imagination but we left that morning and never went back. Her parents didn't buy it either. Guess why.

We had a strange experience after my father-in-law died earlier this year and I'd like to think it was his ghost talking to us.

It was that awful time in between the death and the funeral, we were having our evening meal and listening to Led Zeppelin. Outside there are a few branches that, as they move in the wind, reflect on the far wall of our dining room. Shortly after we turned the music on I noticed that these reflections were moving EXACTLY in time with the music. There was no mistaking it; as anyone who knows Led Zepp knows, the rhythm is very distinctive.

I pointed this out to my husband, saying "Am I going barmy, or???" He said "No, they really are doing that!"

We sat watching, awe-struck, for around ten minutes. Then, just as suddenly as they'd started doing this, they stopped and were just blowing with the rhythm of the wind.

It was a very strange experience and when we talked about it later my husband said he thought it was just the kind of thing his Dad would do - he had had a lovely sense of humour and although he had been in hospital his death was unexpected. It felt like he was saying to us not to worry and that he was OK wherever he was.

I had two encounters:

First one:

This story is also linked to the 2nd story.. I was a witch trying out my very first spell.. I wasn't alone though. I had my cousin and my brother there to conduct the spell with me. A friend of ours was there watching. We sealed off and areas where wind could get through. As we chanted the first verse a big gush of wind blew everything out of place. We ran for our lives! We thought it could be gone so we went downstairs. That night my parents had asked me to ask the maid to make some coffee for them. When i was in the room, the air-conditioning was on. So i had to close the door. When i went over to my maid i spoke to her. Then i heard the door open. I thought it coul've been my brother so i said " Close the door after your done". and i turned back to my maid. After that i turned around to see the door WIDE OPEN! i was furious so i went into the room and shouted at my brother for not closing the door. But, my mom said neither she nor my brother or cousin had gone out of the room. My dad was sleeping. And i had shut the door shut! who could it have been??

Second story:

The next day after the incident, my cousin and i were in the computer room.. ALONE..mind you and then the room door of our room shut..So we ignored it thinking it was the wind. Then we heard the doorknob squeak. And we turned seeing that the door had opened i turned around. Then the door kept slamming shut and opening again and again.. Creepy.. no one was in the room..
NO ONE...

Was sitting at home alone, i could heard a woman gently humming. It was very pretty until I remembered i was home alone. I leaned around corner into other room and the cats were circling around where the woman should have been but nothing was there. It wasn't frightening at all, although when i look back on it i don't know why i wasn't scared. but The woman apparently walked thought the living room into the kitchen and cats followed her circling around a empty spot in floor then she stopped humming and cats walked away like they never seen anything at all.
