Walmart joining the Gay/Lesbian chamber of commerce has been one of the most controversial things lately. We feel that stores should remain neutral and not go either way. They removed replaced Merry Christmas with Happy Holidays to remain neutral and not "offend" anyone. Yet, now they are paying 25K a year to an organization who fights for legalizing gay marriages? Are you going to stop supporting the cause or not? Why?

They are the Westboro Baptist Church (Fred Phelps). Along with "Thank God for Dead Soldiers" they have a very cruel godhatesfags.com site. They are racist and also hate other Christian groups.

Along with your opinions on them, how is it possible for them to use the Bible as their main support? They are very sure in their interpretation of God's Wrath. . . (as other Christians are very sure about God's love). Since everyone is using the same text, how can the discrepancy be this wide? I'm not trying to ally other Christians with them at all; I want to know what you have to say/think about it?

The reason they annoy me is because I really want to chat about the topic. No one ever chats about the topic. It's like they're all just randomly chatting about anything other than the topic. My club is having it's bi-yearly run. We are looking for dsome corporate sponsorship to help defray the cost of the event. Of course we have many fundraising efforts that go to charity, but this run will be just to defray the cost.
Suggestions please? I am thinking beer distributors and others with whom the gay community interacts but I would like to ask others like Coke or Apple and whatnot.

Ok, what's wierder?
The Mormons think John Smith found some metal tablets and a magic stone that could translate them. That when translating them he had to hide behind a curtain, and that the story changed because an angel told him so.
OR
That a sci-fi writer from the 50s came up with a way to make you get rid of your body and turn into a "thetan" (a spiritual being without a body that's been reincarnated a number of times), and you can improve yourself ("audit") through an "E-meter" (elctrocuting device), and that psychology is just a bunch of bunk?

It seems that we've all been given the name Bible bashers....I mean wow whoever came an threw it at your head was totally wrong. Even we have to show repsect when we disagree. There was a comment "come back when we're perfect" and your right its not going to happen. We've all got dirt.
But what is it really? That we push your buttons on something you threw in our face? That we profess Jesus Christ as Lord and savoir. Or is it because you know you're wrong and are angry at the mirror that finally shows you for who you really are?

and once I did, my best friend told me that she had been wondering whether or not she was bi, also.
