Walmart joining the Gay/Lesbian chamber of commerce has been one of the most controversial things lately. We feel that stores should remain neutral and not go either way. They removed replaced Merry Christmas with Happy Holidays to remain neutral and not "offend" anyone. Yet, now they are paying 25K a year to an organization who fights for legalizing gay marriages? Are you going to stop supporting the cause or not? Why?

Is it worth driving an extra mile or stopping at two stores? Hmmm.. Then I thought...was it worth it when he died on the cross to save us from our sins?

And yes, the profit of what they reep off of what you purchase goes to the cause. And it has nothing to do with taxes...lol.

Thank you for posting this information. I heard this from another Church earlier this week. Our Church and this other Church have agreed not to shop at Walmart anymore. Supporting the Homosexual lifestyle is against the Bible and the Family. We will not support any organization that promotes these things. We have already stopped going to Perkins Restaurants because of this very same thing. I think that protesting is a very American and Christian thing to do. It is one way to get things done and that is to hurt them right where it hurts, their pocket book.

I don't agree with a lot of their policies, but I don't know if any of the others are any better. All big business owners and/or stockholders are interested in is profits, and will do their best not to offend the majority. If you can find a store that has what you need that doesn't offend you, by all means stand up for what you believe and boycott the rest.

i do no longer shop at Walmart by using fact, luckily, there's no longer one close to to my domicile. yet whilst one substitute into, i does no longer shop there by using fact their workers are impolite, their shops are a multitude, and their administration does not provide a flyin-turn the two way. via the way, i do no longer shop at ok-mart the two -- their workers are even worse than Walmart's, yet what do you assume once you're hiring people who're prepared to be taken care of like crap and artwork for little better than minimum salary...do you think of human beings like that extremely care a lot approximately sturdy shopper help? no longer in my journey. playstation : till now somebody thinks it, enable me say i'm no longer so caught up that I won't shop at the two place, i'd merely particularly purchase much less, and pay some pennies extra and purchase what i choose someplace else, merely so i do no longer would desire to deal with worker's who're extra frightened approximately their cellular-telephones or their next smash, than approximately assisting the subsequent individual in line.

Another question posed to expose the gross hypocrisy of some Christians. Wal-Mart use exploitative labour in poor countries (and parts of the US) to produce their goods, they squeeze suppliers' margins until they squeak while boosting their own when they come to sell the same goods (in other words, they're ripping off their suppliers AND their customers); they use anti-competitive practices to ensure that no other stores can encroach on their business, they underpay their staff and prohibit them from joining unions. You find all this acceptable? And then you oppose them because you are so hung up about people's freedom to live peaceful lives together and to control their fertility? Boycott them by all means, and thank you for being so illuminating about where your priorities lie.

But then what would one expect but arrogant self-regard from someone calling themselves "Angel likeness"?

i think its wonderful that they have decided to help out homosexuals. there is nothing wrong with homosexuality. i shop at walmart because i can by a pair of jeans for 10 dollars, instead of 170 dollars at a store in the mall. the fact that they are helping out homosexuals does not influence whether or not i shop there (though i am happy they support gay/lesbian rights).

I am thrilled that Wal Mart is supporting people's rights to be happy.

As a Jew, I am uncomfortable with all the Christmas displays. I'm sure many other non-Christians would agree with me.

I really don't have much choice in places to shop. Those that are close by (within 10 miles) are Kroger and Walmart. So as a result I go to Walmart as well as Kroger for my shopping. So who they join or don't join has no meaning to me. They are still cheaper on the Soy Milk than Kroger.

If Walmart wishes to support the Gay/Lesbian chamber of commerce that is their business. It will not affect me shopping there any more than I already do. It is a free country and the owners can choose which causes they wish to support.

When I shop, I am paying for the product and not for what they spend it for.

I pay taxes, but don't tell the government how to spend the money.

I remain neutral in all politics of this world. No human is going to be able to make the changes that we need.

I stopped supporting WalMart when I realized they discouraged their workers from forming or joining unions for better work wages and health care costs!!
