My club is having it's bi-yearly run. We are looking for dsome corporate sponsorship to help defray the cost of the event. Of course we have many fundraising efforts that go to charity, but this run will be just to defray the cost.
Suggestions please? I am thinking beer distributors and others with whom the gay community interacts but I would like to ask others like Coke or Apple and whatnot.
Thanks in advance

How about the vendors you buy your clothes from?

Banks? Insurance companies? Law firms? Funeral homes? A gay friendly church? The bars you attend?

If you are having trouble finding sponsors, do more fundraising within your community. Have a slave auction. Auction off your boys as maids for the day. Have them clean house and cook dinner. Or have a hat sale. One of the clubs in Houston has a tea every year, and the "wives" or "boys" make crazy hats and they auction them off at a party. Everyone has fun, and the people who make the hats have to model their creations at the auction. Contact the Space City Empire in Houston, they are a great group, and they raise a lot of money for good causes. Maybe they would be willing to give you some ideas.

Check out what other leather clubs do around the country and find out what works for them, then try some for your club as well.

Depending on what city you're in check with the Leather lifestyle shops and stores for sponsorships, many beverage suppliers will help with sponsorships for events, condom companies, lube companies, even health care in your community may have sponsorships available.
In Chicago, we have a GLBT Chamber of Commerce which helps locate sponsorships for various clubs and businesses within the community.
You might even try local GLBT rights organizations as well.
Check with your local GLBT publications or "nightlife" guides as well. Many will work out a shared relationship such as ad space for sponsorship listings.

Kraft gave support for the Games in Chicago...perhaps raffling off a jacket or vest would be nice or getting other local businesses to offer up things like Gift cards for Dinners........How about offering Membership Specials during this time?
