and once I did, my best friend told me that she had been wondering whether or not she was bi, also. (I'm bi, not lesbian) Then one of my other, possibly bi friends, asked "If you could go out with any one of us, who would it be?" and we all answered. My best friend said she would go out with me. And I would go out with her, because I like her a lot. But the rest of the night, she acted like she was avoiding me. What's going on?

Okay, I guess I left something out. After I came out to them, we were in the hot tub, and my friend said that she decided she really was bi. I asked her later if she was sure, and she said yes.

When you come out, people often are taken aback by it. They know you as a straight person and it will take them a while to get used to who you really are. Both your friends sound as thought they to are not exactly straight. Sometimes when one friend comes out, the others feel uncomfortable because they are not sure if they want to self-disclose too -- just yet or maybe never. A closeted person will do just about anything to remain in the closet, perhaps more so with friends they suspect are homosexual or bi themselves. That's a great irony in life, but I assure you, it is very true.

Both of you admitted that you are bi and both like each other if incase you want something to do! I am pretty sure she was shocked in silence and maybe secretly likes you before being a100% woman and cannot believe that the girl she likes is also a bisexual! She might npot avoiding you, maybe she hesitated and feel awkward, later on that would be fine!

Did you ever think that admitting she would go out with you could have been embarassing for her? Perhaps she has a secret crush, simply liked you better than the other person, or was saying that anticipating your answer. Either way, laugh it off and don't continue to dwell on it. If she really does want to go out with you she will let those feelings be known soon enough.

Yeah, I agree. Let her alone for now and give her space. Keep the channels of communication open. She may just want to be your friend and not your lover. Good for you for coming out to everyone!

She's regretting what she's said. Maybe she just said that to make you feel more comfortable about coming out. Don't push her for an answer.

Don't push...a lot is going on very quickly, and old habits die hard..give it some time and it will lead where it will lead. Nothing like this can be forced. Good luck

I am a lesbian. Trust me. Don't get into dykodramas. Just let her alone. If and when you hook up with anybody, do it in a mature way. Love is not a game.

Opening night jitters, she'll probably get over it since she outed herself.

You gave the wrong answer. Or she really wants to go out with you and not sure what to say or do.
