The reason they annoy me is because I really want to chat about the topic. No one ever chats about the topic. It's like they're all just randomly chatting about anything other than the topic. They make fun of each other and it drives me nuts. I think that's why I really like yahoo answers. What are your thoughts?

I used to be in Christian chat rooms alot. There was a lot of rude behavior. There is a lot of rude behavior on Answers too; fortunately I can now pick and choose what questions to answer and who to talk to. So I agree with you!

i gave up on yahoo rooms years ago and have check to See if they have changed and still just as bad so i go where its not that bad.
that's why i like a different Chat forum called Delphi. less crowded and less confusing and if you want to speak about the topic or even ask for a certain topic to be discussed you can and if they get of focus all you do is ask and they will get back on focus. they have wonderful rooms in there. you can even ask on their message board without fear. you can ask any question no matter how serious or silly you think it is. they are very nice people. if you see me there i am angelchele. they don't tolerate people being mean or bad language. they boot them when they act up or offend someone.

I don't like chat rooms because, when they aren't just dead, they move too fast for me. I prefer the intimacy and pace of a one-on-one conversation.
Your question doesn't seem to have much to do with Religion and Spirituality. You question may be better placed in the "etiquette" or "Other" category of Society and Culture, or in a different section all together.

YOU ARE RIGHT. WHEN YAHOO HAD THE CHAT ROOMS THAT WERE SELF CREATED THEY WERE PRETTY GOOD. THEY HAD SOME ROOMS THAT HAD MODERATED CHAT AND YOU HAD TO REMAIN ON THAT TOPIC OR BE BOOTED. I THINK THE INTERNET SHOULD BE MORE FOR EDUCATION THAN SOME OF THE SILLY THINGS THAT TAKE PLACE.

Thats any chattroom now days. Some of them are also gaurded by chatt room Nzis I call them. If you are a long time user of the room and on good terms, they let you do anything. If your new they ban you in 10 sec flat for doing what everyone else is . GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!

they can say whatever they way
if they get stressed all the day or so sad , they take that stress out on chat!!
thats why everyone should take it easy!

I feel the same way you do .When I go in I just end up leaving, because it is such crap. and never what you are needing or wantind to talk about.
