I just checked my label and it says "100% Genuine Human", so it's official. If I were going to be phony, I'd tailor my answers to what I think the questioner wants to hear to try to score the 10 points. Fact is, I try to give the best, most frank and honest answer I can without bashing people along the way. I think one thing this forum shows is that even simple questions can be seen from more that one point of view. Hopefully, we are all interested in dialog and approach each question and its answers with open minds. Now there's a fantasy for you!

Both. I have made some very close friends online, but also have run into some real lulus. And in some cases it is not so much a deception as the only way they can open up, as they are not too good in the face to face mode. But cyber space is anomys and no one ever has to know you are really the nerd or but head next door so long as you get along on here.

I try to be as genuine as possible, i treat people with respect as long as they do the same for me. I know how you feel though, it seems that people are much more inclined to be deceptive and rude in cyberspace, i think its the anonimity factor, they get a kick out of. Mean people suck!

There are as many genuine people on the compuer as there are in "real life". What percentage of "real world" people are honest and not deceptive?

I'm pretty genuine...and oddly enough, I don't doubt most others are. But I've been to a convention for people who are members of a website, who I did not really know, and found them mostly to be what I thought they were. So that could be influencing my opinion.

The only thing not genuine about me is the fact that I sooo do not look like my avatar, I just like the picture (though I did resemble my last avatar), and the fact that I use a nickname instead of my real name.
