I’ve heard every excuse…God made you, God can send you to Hell, etc…I mean what does it matter? So what I’m going to Hell, at least I was a good person with an honest heart, and I never worshiped something because I was afraid not to. If you think that God is above goodwill towards man, above our deepest emotions…then I find you despicable. You short-change yourself. You wish to become more than your human flesh, but it is all we have and believe me – it is more than enough.

i have to do an essay on what religion says you should do to be happy.

like religion says don't kill and you'll be happy

buddhist says be a vegetarian and you'll be happy you won't be taking another life

muslims says they must journey to mecca etc

so how does religion influence the person to be happy with his life?

Christianity is a terrible religion. You believe everyword of a Bible which was Censored and Edited by Old Fanatic Catholics. Anytime a new book is discovered, instead of teaching to fellow Christians - it is told to dismiss them. Why isnt the Apocryphals taught in Sunday School, What about the Gospels of Mary and Thomas?? Why is there word different from Peter and John?? These things could bring a New understanding to Christianity, to God himself...But they Dismissed as Uncanon works, because a group of men gathered around a said so...NOT KNOWING WHO's WORD WAS FACT OR FICTION?? The book of Judas could be true all we know, but his named has been stained by his more known traits. Pope Gregory made the Assumption she was prostitute, It is never mentioned in the bible that she was prostitute or even a sinner. Christian beliefs are watered-down...I rather seek peace of the body and mind with Buddist principles...

If god plans out our lives or fate, or its just mapped out including our deaths then why is suicide wrong? How do we know thats not the plan of the persons life, death by suicide. Peoples lives are cut short by disease and murder and that was their plan but why is suicide never a part of that plan. One could say that the person commiting suicide is ending their life plan but how is it that they are not simply following it? Don't worry, im not suicidal or pondering my own death I was just questioning this myself and the whole fate/ life plan point of view...
