Basically God sent his only Son to die for us, because we are sinners. The first half shows us we need a perfect sacrifice. The second half is about HIS only SON taking care of that. All we have to do is have a loving friendship/relationship with the SON and we will spend eternity with HIM. He loves us, wants us to love HIM and others too. Really how much he loves us. :)

What ever it says in the Old Testament get it from the NIV.
The guy way above me got his from the King James and the NIV says the verses in a way that is not inconsistant with God's nature.

About what? The bible says alot of things. Alot of teachings and inspirational words, that are there for our benefit. Try reading it and finding out for yourself what the true word of God is all about.
