those states are so far..sure they share american culture,,but i mean even japan shares American culture..and so many other countries do too, so many countries use english and it doesn't make sense to have seperated states just be American because its written down in law, . i'm from calif and even if i'm not that close to other states, i do feel a bond cause we are not very far..I never feel hawaii to be reachable..never ever...i dont even know hawaiian people.

I personally suspect that thought is a particulate force like gravity and that the sum total of the collective thoughts are what we call "God." As such, the power of "prayer" and "magic," ESP, "ghosts," precognition, and even telekinesis could be explained scientifically. This really IS just a theory (unlike, say, evolution), so I'm not trying to convince anyone of it, but do you have something in mind that, if true, would explain your belief in God scientifically?

... all i was doing was blowing my nose?

I was in the checkout line when this woman's few bits fell to the ground and rolled over beside her. While this happened i was blowing my nose cos i have a bit of a cold today... when she finished her transaction, she turned around vengefully and said I had no bloody manners to pick her shopping off the floor and that it was a shame my mother never taught me manners! I was so shocked at her comment i didn't even have time to absorb what happened by which time she marched right out of the supermarket!

In hindsight, my mum would have said- don't touch anyone's stuff if you've just blown your nose.... some people don't like that. So what was rude about me not picking her codswallop off the floor?

What is it about Evolution vs Creationism that in every single debate Evolution always wins? Even the 1920 Scopes Monkey Trial, despite the $100 fine, culturally Evolution won.

Evolution has been winning and will continue to win.

Is it because people who believe in Creationism have still not to this day produced one single piece of credible scientific empirical evidence?

Some of mine are:

It's only a theory!
The second law of thermodynamics makes evolution imposisble.
The probabilities are too high for a full DNA strand to suddenly come into existance.


What are your favorites?

PS: this is relevant to this board because these things are always stated by creationists (a religious position)

The Holly Bible tells us that this is wrong and it's a sin. I know that when we are saved through the Lord Jesus Christ it's for eternity. I am saved and since being saved I try not to willingly sin. If someone is acting upon their gay feelings then they are sinning willingly and on a regular basis. That makes me wonder if someone that is acting upon their gay feelings is really saved. I know a gay lady that calls herself a minister. I don't thing God called her to preach, nor do I believe that God ordained the gay church that she preaches at.

Look at this. Many people like to complain about "Christian bashing," but we live with this type of thing all the time. You have this Harry Potter / Wizard of Oz view of magic and act like anyone who believes in something you don't is insane. Next time someone rants about Jesus rising from the dead, how many people suggest THEY up their dosage? Sorry for the rant, but I'm getting rather tired of it.

1. Do you notice in the religious section of yahoo answers people want to ask questions about Evolution.

2. Do you notice that sometimes the people who ask these questions do not believe the Theory of Evolution.

3. Do you notice that some of these people who do not believe in the Theory of Evolution are asking their questions and their whole intent is to suggest Evolution is a lie.

4. Are we to infer that the alternative Theory on the Origin of the Species is correct, that God made the Human Being?

5. Is there any scientific empirical evidence to suggest that God made the human being? Which God(s)? Is Zeus still a likely scientific hypothesis, or just "your" God?

6. Why is the Theory of Evolution being debated in the Religious section of yahoo answers, its a scientific theory.

7. Has anyone stopped being an evolutionist and fallen on their knees praying for Jesus's forgiveness because of a yahoo answers question implying Evolution is a lie?

there's this vibe i get from new yorkers( the outgoing kind that you see in tv). It's not nice, it's like they try to show off, or keep yapping and trying to sound like they are the best.

-In street a bunch of people in underwear trying to give supposedly a social message

-in street man nagging about Tobacco industry

Where have i seen this? mainly in MTV because mtv is based in new york. But i tell you, new yorkers to me seem a bit weird. and since they all seem to be talkative, i'm sure normal new yorkers also do siimilar Speach related activities. i'm a minority in CA, never try to push myself on to others or give messages, but i'm sure in CA the outgoing types will also do stuff like new yorkers. however new yorkers have this ATTITUDE hard to explain.
