I spent three weeks in Nigeria a few years ago and I have to say I found the culture, people and way of life amazing I adored every moment of it. I was working with the Nigerian Red Cross on a partnership programme. I went to Lagos, Benin, Osun, Ogun and Benue...In every place I found something that made me fall in love with the country even more. It took alittle while to adapt my ideals and opnions to a different cultures way of trating men and women, however I realised that the Nigerian culture is not better or worse just different.

Nigerian girls are always asking me to marry them online. If they knew me personally it would make more sense, but I hate when they do this. Really, this is how they start conversations!

Plus, some nigerians cheated a friend out of a lot of money. I don't trust em.

As a country they are both culturaly diverse as well as corrupt...like most places in the world. They are a country encompassing too many different non-aligned tribes as they are kept in by European-imposed, artificial geographical borders, As far as people are concerned, the Nigerian immigrants in Greece are one of the highest number of immigrants here and are by far and away the most polite, hard working, non-threatening.

The borders mentioned above were imposed following seperation from the empire comonwealth.

I even have 2 cats Snowie (woman) and Casper (male who i recently took in). the two are fastened, yet Snowie hates Casper. fortuitously Casper is rather shy and has a tendency to stay remote from Snowie for the main section, yet often times this is unavoidable like at feeding time. i began out to introduce some thing effective whilst they're the two interior the comparable room collectively - like sharing a slice of hen or ham between them with the help of giving them small products each till the full slice is long previous, or to play a interest with one whilst the different is gazing and then change. They nonetheless are not the better of friends, yet Snowie now seems to understand that it isn't all undesirable whilst Casper is around and is tolerating him slightly extra effective. with a bit of luck this could help you, good success!

It is not for me to generalise, but I find that a lot of the women are condescending & act as though they're smarter than everyone. As for the men a lot of them are dishonest, in the sense that they will first try to see how best they can make a dollar the fast way than the honest way. And when they actually do have money they use it as a weapon against women, in that they use it as a means of gaining women's respect or to pressure her to do something.

I don't hate them. Nigerians have gotten a very bad reputation from that small percent that are pulling the scams. That is all.
